My planning so far

Still figuring this out so far and so far you guys have been helpful.....so far this is what I'm going with animoog, magellen, imini, gadget, groove rider.as far as a daw goes auria is not midi-enough for me, don't care for cubes so so I'm wondering if I should just put out the cash for beatmaker.for my loops and samples I wrote I'm using drop for imports. Also audiocopy, I have audiobus2 but not sure if I need version 3 or not. Also looking for effect apps that I might need too.....is there anything else I might be missing out on.....I was asked how I was going to be using audiobus and the only way I know how is to use it to link my synth into a daw for recording, am I missing out on anything else? This is all still quite new to me so just trying to figure everything out.

Honestly, as someone else pretty new to this, I'd start slow. Gadget and Groove Rider are essentially groove boxes - do you need both immediately? From my perspective, Audiobus is more about routing audio and midi with some mixer qualities (the almost flip-side of the same very similar coin is AUM, which is more about mixing with routing audio and MIDI... very similar but still different... for now). Try a groove box, try a synth outside that app like zeeon or kauldron or one you listed and get them to work together in Audiobus to your satisfaction, then keep building on. Add an effect. Add more synths, etc.

But, that's me. Some people want to dive in deep and actually work better that way. Best of luck!

  • Yea I know the basics.....I guess I should of been more clear I got into his stuff like 2 years ago but now I'm ready to dive deep I new the bare necessities but now is where the real learning begins

As someone who tried nearly all apps and possible workflows on ios, i think beatmaker 3 with AU instrument and effects is the best way to go for me(some might prefer auria or cubasis). I also use AUM(when using hardware synths and sequencer only and just want effects, or maybe to sequence one or two ios synths from hardware) and sometimes blocs wave, lemur to control synth etc utility apps.

I havent used audiobus 3 in any session, but i mainly bought it to support the devs and therefore also this forum.
