  • It seems that Sunrizer is still a much loved app. How does it compare to the plethora of synths that have arrived since it appeared? Anything unique about it?

  • edited September 2021

btw. There are many great 3rd party banks made for the grandpa.. e.g.

  • Thank you Beepstreet for keeping Sunrizer alive.

  • btw. Sunrizer was released over 10 years ago for iPad 1 :)

  • @giku_beepstreet Since there's a bunch of downloadable presets in Sunrizer wouldn't it have made sense to include them in the app from the get go? (This way you could eventually remove the download functionality...).

  • I wish Drambo had a Sunrizer skin.
    It looks so good :)

Wow. Are the 3rd party banks already included in the app or we should to download them from somewhere?

21 banks are available in the app, 5 installed, 16 may be downloaded directly in Sunrizer, the rest is somewhere :) (as I estimated there are at least 20 of them)

  • Still one of the best...

Yes, I'm thinking about a shortcut button to download all of them. (sometimes it's a matter of agreement with creators)

Drambo skin will be improved, but will remain flat. This UI is flexible and adapts to any window size.

  • what a synth !

Sunrizer is now retro ios synthware

It captures a moment, a sound, vibe and wave that can’t be replicated. As such, it’s character and age is it’s strength now.

No new iOS synth sounds like Sunrizer because it was built a decade ago. Fine wine indeed.

Rebirth convinced me to drop hardware for desktop computers.

Sunrizer convinced me to drop desktop for handheld.

    What’s next? Brain implants?

  • Pop quiz. What was it originally called?

Thanks! That's why I'm not buying Apple watch.

    Horizon synth

    LOL. Cheater

I remember years ago you asked what it should be renamed to in the KVR forum and I said Sunrizer. My only claim to IOS fame.

Yep a guy who made a lesser known PC synth called Horizon, threatened me with a lawsuit. I wasn't aware of that. After a quick action and a brainstorm, one of proposition was sun rise, someone changed it to sunrizer and I liked it .. if it was you.. thank you! If you don't owe Zeeon or Drambo just let me know :)

    V cool story!

  • Ah, a classic! I love Sunrizer - some of those presets are fantastic. I love the Blade Runner one, for example.

It's okay. I already own both

  • Just trying to figure out...is this an additional purchase for an Apple M1 device or should it be automatically available if already purchased on iPad?

It's automatically available if you purchased on iPad. Just open AppStore on your mac, find Purchased items and select iOS apps.

  • No matter how many times I do this, I panic when my iPhone tells me I'm about to purchase an app for $9.99 even though it is universal and plainly visible on my iPad....

    @giku_beepstreet
Thank you for making this universal.

It’s never quite clear to me (from almost all developers with downloadable content) whether or not I already have the available content. Wish there was a clear check mark or grayed out option for items already downloaded and in my patch library.

  • Wow, some of the presets remind me of the new Korg “Modwave” synth.. Or is it the other way around. Kind of a combination of wavetable and analog.

I thought nothing of it until I started using it. A fantastic all purpose synth.

Same! and I just got it a couple of months ago. It is unique.

  • I want to say thank you @giku_beepstreet !!!
It was the first synth I downloaded on my iPad I think back then.
I was always amazed and fascinated about synthesizer and arps and stuff but I had no clue and couldn’t believe that people are actually understanding which knob to turn to make it sound ahaha 😂

So, Sunrizer on my iPhone as a reborn star of the past!!! Thank you very very much Giku!!!
