Any tips on how to use this within Logic Pro X on the M1 Air? It runs stand-alone but I don’t see it as an AU in LPX. I’ve refreshed the Plug-In Manager etc and restarted LPX, but no joy!

  • @giku_beepstreet thank you so much for making this universal. Probably my go to synth, then Zeeon.

Got Sunrizer in 2013, I just checked. Still worth visiting even after 10 years. Zeeon is my favorite synth, but I think I need to utilize Sunrizer a bit more too! Amazing it’s still getting support! Thanks for all your work, including Drambo!

Sunrizer is now retro ios synthware

It captures a moment, a sound, vibe and wave that can’t be replicated. As such, it’s character and age is it’s strength now.

No new iOS synth sounds like Sunrizer because it was built a decade ago. Fine wine indeed.

Rebirth convinced me to drop hardware for desktop computers.

Sunrizer convinced me to drop desktop for handheld.

    What’s next? Brain implants?

Haha….Wait for it…Elon unveiled his neuro link tech some time ago which exactly that…brain implant. Removes the interface (screen/keyboard) between human/computer. My guess is neuro link will also be a controller for his latest robot reveal. He’s a really predictable dude.

Hopefully the presentation won’t end with the robot humping everyone and the user freaking out shouting “Think unsexy thoughts! Think unsexy thoughts!”

It seems that Sunrizer is still a much loved app. How does it compare to the plethora of synths that have arrived since it appeared? Anything unique about it?

I was thinking this. Should I bother?

Yes. Still one of the best available.I liked the iOS version so much I bought it on Desktop. It's an iOS classic!

Just trying to figure out...is this an additional purchase for an Apple M1 device or should it be automatically available if already purchased on iPad?

It's automatically available if you purchased on iPad. Just open AppStore on your mac, find Purchased items and select iOS apps.

    @giku_beepstreet

I hate to be that guy...but when I log into the M1 device on the account I purchased Sunrizer for iPad through its not there in purchases under iPhone and iPad Apps (Drambo is though) and Apple tells me I'm about to be debited for the purchase if I click on the purchase button (store credit as I don't have a credit card connected to that account). Is this correct/normal?

Honestly, it's such a great/useful synth I don't mind paying for it again but will have to wait 'til I have more store credit.

    Absolutely !

    • Still sound great
    • Tons of free presets
    • Very easy to program (I am very bad a synth programming but I can figure this one)
    • Cheap (in price not in quality)

@giku_beepstreet I already bought the iPad Pro version of Sunrizer and I was considering buying the desktop version of Sunrizer before this update and installed the AU version from your web site for testing. It seems the demo installation is interfering with my ability to use the new version...

    What do you recommend?

It's running on Logic Pro X on my M1 Air. I had to go to plug-in manager and select the app and hit the rescan button.

If it’s anything like the iOS App Store it will tell you at the very end after you authorize to be charged that you already own it and “Would you like to download it for free?” But all the way up till then it will be exactly as though you’re being charged. Drives me nuts.

I can’t absolutely guarantee the Mac App Store will be the same, but I did experience this with miRack and I was not charged.

This happens when apps go universal after you bought them. It seems that the bonehead App Store doesn’t check for ownership until it actually tries to charge you in that case. 🙄

  • Yes there are glitches, informations are not being updated, but when you click to purchase you will never get charged for the same app twice. This never happened

Guess I should've mentioned I'm using GarageBand, not Logic Pro. There's no plug-in manager in GarageBand.

And now I'm getting an even more alarming message when I try to use Sunrizer as an AUv3 in GarageBand...

I should note that despite these messages popping up in GarageBand, the app DOES work as a standalone...But I really do need this to work in GarageBand.

    Thanks for clarification.
This popped up after I executed the payment option.

And thank you for keeping Sunrizer alive!

  • Wow! What a good surprise 😁
Def in my top 5 fav and most used synths
There’s been so many times i wished it was on my iPhone and now the dream is real!!!
    Thank ya!!

  • Thanks for doing this and it is great timing as my Mini M1 arrives today

@giku_beepstreet Since there's a bunch of downloadable presets in Sunrizer wouldn't it have made sense to include them in the app from the get go? (This way you could eventually remove the download functionality...).

Yes, I'm thinking about a shortcut button to download all of them. (sometimes it's a matter of agreement with creators)

    Well, you have my agreement...

  • @giku_beepstreet You are an absolute gentleman and scholar - I have both Sunrizer XS (rip) and Sunrizer on iPad. Giving it the cross platform treatment is super awesome. Next to Nanostudio 1 Sunrizer XS was one of my earliest purchases...

  • So I’m planning on hosting Sunrizer in AUM as part of a live set. Is there a way to make Sunrizer ignore incoming PC messages? And how does one delete previous midi bindings?

You can't.. I'm gonna add these 2 options to upcoming update

    Great to hear, thanks!

  • I watched thesoundtestroom's video on how to get all the free soundbanks. He said when you quit the app and reopen, it should alphabetize the packs. Mine aren't in any kind of order.... any ideas?

  • Big thanks
Still my favourite synth after all these years
So glad I now have it on my phone
    So thanks again

Works in GarageBand on iOS for me. I use GarageBand on desktop, but can't test as I don't have an M1 Mac.

  • I've got it working just fine here on LPX. What a treat! Many thanks @giku_beepstreet

As I mentioned earlier, I think it’s because I downloaded the “trial” version of the desktop software just days before that it is now preventing me from using the iOS download version on my M1 iMac. But this is what’s happening even after I discarded the trial software… clearly there’s some kind of residual file which prevents the new software to override the old trial preferences. But I’m at a complete loss as to what I can do about it now.

Hoping there's some kind of solution @giku_beepstreet will be able to offer.
