iOS 12 users: Now safe to update to 12.4.2 (issue fixed)
Hi! Good news to those on older devices: the bug I reported affecting some apps on iOS 12.4 has now been fixed on iOS 12.4.2, so it's safe to update.

@Michael
Thanks for the update
Had noticed this heading had disappeared a day or 2 ago
Finally will update later today
Nice, now Apple forces me to update to iPadOS skipping 12.4.2

But it’s great news for older devices
Cool!!
How do we update to 12.4.2 avoiding iPadOS?
Great. Thanks for letting us know.
Looks like only devices that cannot use os13 can get 12.4.2
Cheers again apple. Tw@S
Hey Michael, hows iOS 13.1.2?
Thanks
You could always stop buying Apple gear.
Fine, as far as I know!
@Korakios, @SpookyZoo, @topaz etc: for now, at least, you can probably still go straight to iOS 12.4.2 (while Apple are still signing install requests), but it's a bit of mucking around.
See here: https://ios.gadgethacks.com/how-to/downgrade-ios-13-back-ios-12-4-1-your-iphone-using-itunes-finder-0198642/ (links therein are for 12.4.1, though - here's a listing for 12.4.2).
Nothing for 12.4.2 for air 2 or pro 12.9 1st.
Try this:

(Couldn't find 12.4.2 for the Pro 12.9)
Thanks @Michael for the links
To be honest I’ll stay on 12.3 for a little while (seems iOS 13 is 99% ready) instead of backing , resetting, format & and restoring.
Hope Apple will allow user to choose between update or upgrade the iOS
Any experience with iOS 12.4.3 on an iPad Mini 2?
