It may be counter-intuitive to you, but spend a little time looking at MIDI programming forums and you will see that it is a perfectly normal and acceptable way of sending a note off -- and long has been. This is not some new or weird thing.
Gotcha...
I'll just forget all this midi sh*t for a while spend some time SunVox & Renoise to calm down...
Nah. What could be more relaxing than curling up in front of a cozy fire with a big mug of steaming cocoa and reading the official MIDI spec? Spoil yourself for once. You deserve it!
Maybe some day when I get really, really bored or something
Cheers!
What exactly is the bug? If you're referring to doing note-off with a note-on with velocity 0, it's part of the MIDI standard. So if any plugin doesn't treat that as a note-off it means the bug is on their side.
It doesn't matter if you think it makes sense or not, it's still part of the MIDI standard
A keyboard that sends release-velocity would use note-off messages. The point is that any MIDI receiver following the standard must treat note ON with zero velocity as a note OFF.
Gotcha!
I will just 'retire' my trusty TX81z that hangs notes when it receives note on with 0 velocity if the note was already playing
No biggie, guess it's time to move forward anyway...
I think Id just keep synth reverbs on a master and duplicate master. Sometimes a universal reverb. This way I could adjust the reverb and add effects before reverb on audio? Would need to hear reverb and mute the duplicate channel without a reverb but record both.
I am curious: Are there any plans to add iCloud support to AudioShare? I like Readdle Documents’ approach to the iCloud, and it may be a good way to implement it in AudioShare too: Having an iCloud folder in the app that allows one to upload files or copies of files to the iCloud. This way documents can be both on the device and in the iCloud, or you can choose one or the other to use (device or iCloud).
+1
(Although iCloud is a bit of a trigger for some round here)
Dropbox integration would be nice too, although I use iCloud more. And it seems to me that iCloud integration is more seamless on Apple products than Dropbox is. The way Readdle Documents has that iCloud folder inside the app, as if it’s just another folder - that is really cool and useful. I don’t think that would be quite possible with Dropbox, though I could be wrong.
Are you sure? This is from the TX-81Z manual (http://www.synthfool.com/docs/Yamaha/Yamaha TX-81Z Owners Manual.pdf)
Those envelopes can be tricky
I've got an old firmware (V1.0) in mine
The latest one is V1.6 which requires the eprom to be swapped.
But it's good to know it was the intended behavior and my unit is just 'bugged'...
Thanks for clearing it up for me
Cheers!
Hi , its been probably already asked ,
but how do you copy AudioShare files
to your backup drive on Mac ...wired?
Both iMazing and iTunes show empty shared folder in AudioShare ?
I am on iOS 12 4.1 on iphone .
Thanks in advance for any tips
jazz
I use iCloud for that purpose. Just put the files into iCloud and they'll get synced to your Mac. From there you can archive it or do whatever you want with it.
If using iMazing , you grab Audioshare content by looking in an iMazing backup. The shared folder is only the content in Audioshare iTunes file sharing folder. But the data is in the iMazing backups if you look at them. It requires a little digging.
Thanks , i am aware of the various wireless file "cloud" backup options,
but prefer to use USB wired for backup straight to a External HD attached to my Mac.
I like to keep all my samples and recordings in one place on one large offline backup.
Still looking for an easy solution.
Thanks for reply,
Does that mean that I have to make a complete backup with iMazing of my whole iOS device every time to access AudioShare files on my computer ( Mac) ?
🤔
No. Sorry, I didn’t understand that all you want is to get the files on to your Mac. Just airdrop them or use AudioShare’s built in web server. AirDrop is super fast.
Is it possible to add a sidebar like the audiobus sidebar for the master output. Always trying to resize apps and think it might be ok with apps chosen but there will be some, plus a bit of extra screen gain. If the output were a sidebar.
Thanks.

What do you think. Should I make my own apps or at least be hired as a free consultant?
So in the description. It says. Hide grey bar option but make a sidebar like audiobus, which also contains master output meter and the quick option to re-instate grey bars via sidebar. For midi users who launch app via midi. You are gaining a quarter of an ipad.
What do you think. As to humble my consultant abilities?
@j_liljedahl Is it possible to add image and text import to AUM Session notes? So, one could see chords or sheet music while playing or working with MIDI sequencer. PDF and notes from other apps - even better.
@Liudesis
Have you tried to use another app on the side to display additional info?
Not all apps support this, but many do.
Great tip @0tolerance4silence! For Safari, Photos and Acrobat Reader it works. Thank you!
Still kinda new, but I hope he supports images soon....

Hi. Wasnt needing a description app or notes but thats cool. It were the description in the youtube video of the idea. The idea were for midi users who launch app. To hide the grey bar at top of apps, creating more space on ipad but also with a sidebar like audiobus. This way you can re-add the grey bars at top of apps but might not be ideal for a programmer to implement but if possible then it might be cool but also with sidebar show the master out. This way you could use all screen even more whist keeping eye on master out. So with master out on sidebar + hiding grey bars. You would gain loads of space. Another idea is to make the grey bars be a colour, like where you can change node colour in aum but theres no colour representation when you launch app. Theres 7 different colour imojis within apple imojis and you can match colour with aum. You can then add them emojis to drambo tracks as a name. Ideal for synth tracks if you use drambo to sequence auv3 but would be better if the grey bars at top of synth ( aum ) were the colours of the nodes.
