I am sure this will be one of my most used effects. Though I have had it crashing quite a lot in AUM, despite very low dsp. Haven't heard back from the dev yet, in the meantime I'm wondering whether many other ppl have had this problem?

I haven't had any crashes so far, been testing it hard to try to get sidechain triggering to work. Seems like it requires a very loud sidechain input and sustaining notes (?) but I still cannot get it to trigger. Can't figure out how to Midi trigger it either (?)

I want stereo and binaural panning on iOS...please.

Thank you! I was aware of the Virtual Room Pro but it does not work great since its add already a fixed room/reverb sound. But i only want the spatalization and place a reverb after that. It works much better for simple left right panning for me as well and it has a lot wider and more 3D sound.
I might have to test it. So sad that there are no demos on iOS. I bought so many apps i regret and it sums up.
But since it is the only app beside simple balance panning (or?) i might just take it.
Here f.e. i used different panning options (hope it is O.k. to post these examples here, if not just remove my post please).
3 arps (different speed and octave), One 35 degree right, one in center and one 35 degree left. Of course it not always translate the same in different tools but i tried similar settings.
First, no panning, then simple balance panning, then stereo panning, then binaural panning and then my favorite a dedicated spatalization tool which uses kind of psychoacoustic tricks.

Then the same with a different synth sound and about 60 degree right/left.

And with a reverb added after the panning

Yes @wim mentioned it in the post before. I will try this since virtual room is not what i was searching for. This might be better.

Not sure if it’s what you’re looking for, but it’s actually pretty cool. I’d forgotten about it until I read your post. Gonna dig it out myself I think 🤔

  • is this app a must have?

  • I’m enjoying it, really good for ambient / drone

  • I love it, still hoping I get a dev response to why it keeps crashing for me though

  • I know I quibble too much but ... I gotta say, this has to be the most ineffective app icon I’ve ever seen. Chris must have a hell of a lot more contrast-y monitor than my iPad Air 2.

i was thinking the same thing, i can’t even see it haha but i do hear it.... now where is that panning station at?

Ah , sorry, no apps here. I just wanted to show some different options. Its only Logic intern panning options, beside the last one which is a special third party tool for spatialization where the difference get much bigger if you add more instruments and place them at different angles and distances but mainly the same reverb/room.
A bit OT here, sorry. I just look like similar things on iOS where i mostly see only simple balance panning in most DAWs which does not work for me.

  • so just got this app. is there a way to send the left
pan to the left output to a channel in AUM, and then send the right to another channel in AUM so that while panstation is autopanning, the left and right signals can have different effects chains added to them? that could be cool

You can send the full stereo signal to two AUM channels, and filter out the left and right signal in those. I don't think you can filter before sending, because the signal flow in each AUM channel is strictly linear.

Edit: This is what I mean:
