Workaround to export individual midi tracks, since we can’t do that in Cubasis

edited June 2020 in General App Discussion

Hello everyone.
Since we can’t export a single midi track while working in Cubasis, I’ve found a workaround for anyone interested. All you need is Cubasis 3 or 2, Zenbeats and some patience☺️. Hope you find it useful.

for those who don't have ZendBeats but do have Nanostudio, something similiar:

    • export from cubasis
    • dragndrop in Files app to Nanostudio/Library/MIDI
    • switch to nanostudio, drag'n'drop MIDI in pto sequencer (using middle icon in top left cormer of sequencer)
    • select clip you want to export (by tapping on it, you can select multiple clips of you want)
    • in bottom menu Actions > Export
    • done, selexted track(s) is saved in Library/MIDI as midi file. Again you can dragndrop it from there in Files app to application of tour choice

    Thanks for the heads up💪🏾

  • Can't you just solo the midi track you want to export?

No unfortunately, it would still export the whole project.
The other way would be to duplicate the project, delete All tracks but the one you want to export, then export to midi.

  • I'm sure I've done it, but it is entirely possible it was the only midi track in the project.

You can mute all tracks and only solo the one you need a midi export from. Works perfectly.
