Korg Gadget 2 on iPad won’t back up to iCloud

Apologies if this has been posted before, but this problem is driving me nuts!

I am running Gadget 2 on iPad. I have the app selected in the iCloud settings on my ipad and there is a Korg Gadget directory in my iCloud.

However, when I try to export a Gadget to iCloud by tapping the greyed out cloud icon, I get an error message (see attached).

Have any of you encountered this problem and if so were you able to fix it?

  • I don’t have that problem. I just checked it because I recently updated to iOS 14 and didn’t try to backup to iCloud since, but it’s working for me.

Did you try to backup more than one project to check whether the problem is with the project?
Also try to hard restart your iPad.

I don’t know what else there is to do apart from reinstalling Gadget, but doing that you need to be very careful not to lose your projects. You could also try to “offload” Gadget, that should remove the app without the data. I never tried doing that though, so I’m not sure how reliable it is.

  • Thanks for responding. I’ve reloaded Gadget on this and another iPad and have had the same problem. It happens to every project. The trouble is I need to find a means to save my projects as my early ones are being deleted somehow.

You can use the files app to manually copy all your projects to iCloud if nothing else works.

On second thought, did you check if there's enough space on your iCloud?

  • Also getting this error. Any fix for this?
