Best Celesta on iOS?

Any Celesta experts here (there must be loads, surely?) who can recommend any particular version?
I see it is available in the Baroque expansion in Beathawk and also in iSymphonic.
Are there others?

Thanks

  • Beathawk version is very good and as a bonus you get the rest of the Baroque pack, which is one of my most used of the BH packs. Excellent.

To be precise, you get this with the Baroque extension in Beathawk.

There is still a problem on polyphony which is limited to 8. But a fix in preparation at UVI should max it out at 60.

Thanks. Are the samples dry or drenched in reverb like some of the other BH instruments?

    They are dry.

If it ain't Baroque, then don't fix it!

  • Yes, dry.
The celestas are velocity sensitive and the mod wheel controls the vibrato amount.

  • Nothing new? If not, I will buy the Beathawk Celesta.

  • Don’t know if they are the best but KQ Dixie has a lot of them once you download the huge number of DX7 patches available.

  • If you don’t want samples, one of the best synths for emulating mallets is AddStation.
Maybe others like Lagrange could do it also but I am not certain…
