Building an OP-1 in Drambo

  • Few weeks ago I recreated an Ipad in Drambo which runs its own custom version of drambo within itself, which will be running a recreation of an op-1 trying to emulate itself as an OP-z pretending to be a PO-33 KO, which is simply playing an endlessly repeating 4 on the floor beat made of lo-fi samples of my dying cat having diarrhea. I routed this into an ob-4 speaker simulation in drambo to instantly replay 2 hours of live beats at my leisure. It was great but then my Drambo became self aware, programmed itself some legs, and ran off with my pregnant wife, who herself is simply a recreation of a female human 9 months pregnant with a PERFECT clone of Beepstreets's CEO I made in drambo a few months ago. So naturally, I got a refund. Worthless, cheating app. Can't even make a loyal wife from scratch, or my dad love me. And the worst part is, word on the street my copy of drambo is investing it's powers into recreating the big bang, so good news is, we all get a fresh start soon

You can also do SDR on your own for cheap. It's neat to scan around and watch a waterfall, looking for aliens -- or just signals from your garage door remote.

    https://learn.adafruit.com/getting-started-with-rtl-sdr-and-sdr-sharp

Looks like these stream it to your iOS device, which I'm going to look into further.

Since your post I have gone from knowing nothing about SDRs to ordering one, decoding and tracking aircraft on virtual radars and just ordered a second receiver and a 10m telescopic mast to mount my antennas.

I don't know whether to thank or hate you. :D

Sorry for the OT. Drambo is a great rabbit hole also.

Whoa! That's awesome! I need to set mine up on a Raspberry Pi and get it out again. There have been a few times lately that an aircraft has flown over and I wanted to look it up.

    (Drambo is great)

  • OP-1 user for several years here. The OP-1 Tape functionality is something I'd really like to see. Not good for a lot of copy / pasting across a lot of time and tracks. But the speed up / speed down and copy / pasting to and from samplers is great. Especially combined with the knobs.

So if drambo could do that, that'd be great.

Thank you, you've just helped me find a bug with copying and pasting over an existing Flexi sampler 😊

  • I though Drambo was adding a tape module. Is that still happening @giku_beepstreet ?

  • Yes, but a lot of more important things are happening before :)

I know, I was just adding hype to the hype. Outmost respect for @giku_beepstreet and his time.
