The Audulus 4 beta is not currently optimized so the Subharmonicon II patch you linked to will bring an iPad 2 to its knees running in AUM. A useful feature of Audulus 4 is that you can put it in performance mode and not have to worry about zooming in to push triggers or twist knobs.

Here’s what the patch looks like when it’s converted by Audulus 4 into Audulus 4 format and running as an AU instance in AUM.
That is very promising!
Looks super cool! Missed the joining the beta in time before it was full. 😔
Anyone not using the beta?
I am not currently as I am not ready to jump to iOS 14. Did use early betas though.
Looks great!
I accidentally left the beta and now it’s closed :O will look forward to this once it’s released. For me it will be infinitely more useful as an AUv3
Re downloaded Audulus 2 (with the IAP) and I like it better than I remember (the rotary selector especially)
Re downloaded Audulus 3, liked it better than I remember also- though the procedure for acquiring presets is ridiculous compared to earlier functionality
Went back to zMors modular, and will probably keep trying with both Audulus iterations
Did anyone catch the reasoning why Audulus 4 won't be useable on an iPhone? I just read confirmation on the Audulus forum this is the case, but couldn't find the reasoning. For me, this might be a deal breaker... I want my iPhone as a performance backup device. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Audulus 3 and my setup would be much poorer without it... I'm just disappointed the new app isn't going to be universal.
Making the u.i. work well on iPhones would be a huge amount of work on top of the hige amount of work of pretty much completely rewriting the app.
I don't know seems they've already done most of the work already, regarding making the UI work on an iPhone... Audulus3 on an iPhone works well, from my perspective... you just zoom in if need be. It's just very cool to work on patches when I'm not at home... people automatically bring their phones everywhere, iPads are more limited... you kindof have to plan to bring it somewhere... in my experience.
I don't know I guess people that work on the Audulus on their phones are not so common? The Audulus team probably has stats on it... and the numbers must be low I'm guessing... still... I hope they decide to make it universal in the future future... it would only make it better, in my opinion. It'd be worth more to me and I'd be willing to pay more for it.
Except that Audulus 4 is rewritten app with a different user interface. Taylor would not have dropped the iPhone if making the u.i. work well weren't a fair amount of work.
Have you written to ask if it will support the iPhone later?
As you said, he would have the stats about his users -- and would know how much of his time it would take to make work on the phone. The "team" is one person, btw.
Good reminder thanks, I just asked Taylor on the Audulus forum.
I trash this app, but I want to like it. What’s the deal with no beta update for 45 days? The gui and scaling is still way too goopy for me to attempt to overcome my hate.
I am an audulus owner from way back....I am not on FB. I would love to have gotten on this
Is anyone still responding on the forum? It’s kind of tumbleweeds there.
people post there. And it has been quiet. Some frequent posters of the past seem to not as active as in the past.
What do you mean "what's the deal"? There isn't some timeline Taylor is killing himself to make. Development happens on it at the pace it happens.
nothing yet, I’ll post here if I get an answer there
Your post over there may not get a response. It sounds like you want him to post a link to a post about not supporting the iPhone...such a post may not exist...and if it does, he may not be inclined to search the archives and post a link for you even if there was. He is a busy guy and doesn't spend s lot of time on the forum.
If you want to find out if he has plans to support the iPhone, just ask that. You would be more likely to get an answer.
well no, I was being diplomatic about it since earlier in the same post he wrote “That’s right. [that on release of Audulus4 there will be no iPhone version] Maybe I should explain the thinking behind that elsewhere so as not to get off topic here”
Last time I looked the beta was full. Just got in today.

Any date for Audulus 4? I already have mirack, is it way better? Different?
Way different.
Think of it as a toolkit that you can build your own modules with - down to as low a level as you care to go.
It can be somewhat similar in concept if you stick to prebuilt modules or modules you’ve built and saved. But it’s not an emulation of hardware rack modules … it’s more of an abstraction than that.
To add to what @wim has said, it’s the closest we have on iOS to Cycling’74’s Max (which is the underlying engine for all those cool Max for Live instruments and FX that are available to iOS).
In the past I’ve found Audulus to be rather thin sounding but the last version I spent any real time with was v2. So I’m really looking forward to seeing how things have progressed between v2 and v4.
