iOS 15 beta
Any news on main daws? Cubasis? Nano studio? Regards

What kind of information are you after?
Stability? Other info?
And, you must meaning iPadOS15 beta - Cubasis isn’t for iPhone…
This is the only real issue with a DAW that I’ve found so far. The instrument UI won’t return, so I’ve switched to Drambo for messing around on my iPhone.
It’s not just SynthMaster One, all instruments and audio/MIDI effects end up doing the same thing at some point.
Interesting:

Actually I am referring to iPad, sorry if I didn’t specify it.
And how does it work on iOS 15?
That was iOS 15.
Same issue with Cubasis on iPad.
How does Gadget function on iOS 15 beta? (iPad preferred.)
Actually it’s a very bad issue. I’ll stay safe on iOS 14… thanks
Ha! Hav’nt noticed that Cubasis is universal! 😢 sorry…
+1
Also curious to hear from M1 Pro owners how the battery usage is with Gadget. Heard someone mention 4 hours max
Any news from beta2/public beta? Does Cubasis 3 work again?
Anyone tried Ableton Link with 15, working alright?
Haven’t tried it yet, and uninstalled it from my phone just the other day. I’ll give it a whirl and report back a bit later, if someone else hasn’t done it first.
Thanks!
Would be interesting to hear if the Audio unit missing - requiring a restart - bug is fixed.
Also the annoying overlap of the microphone icon on cubasis / sticking around in the menu bar after music apps are closed
I am looking forward to installing iOS15 beta2, but if Cubasis 3 and auv3 don’t work, I won’t do it. I’m waiting for ahallam post. I hope they will solve the audio unit missing, that’s VERY BAD.
I’m pretty sure the AU bug has been fixed, and there seem to be no issues with Cubasis 3 after I reinstalled it. Of course, iOS being in beta, YMMV. I wouldn’t install it on a device you use for serious work.
I however have experienced no serious issues after having installed it on 1 iPad and my phone. It seems remarkably stable overall.
@ahallam that is good to know. I was tempted….. but thankfully on my new iPad Pro I’m doing ok.
The best three things with iPadOS15 (not direct related to music making though):
You DON’T have to rotate your iPad if you running an app that is only made for portrait mode (wow Apple, this has we waiting for at least five years!)…
App Library - gimmick? No…
Quick Note - now also working with your fingers (new in beta2)…
Yeah, remember another great thing - Focus Mode! Great!
Thanks a lot. I was waiting for you answer because I am really tempted to install it. THANKS!!! ☺️☺️☺️
All fine here, app-wise. I haven’t run into any that don’t work. Cubasis is working fine for me.
Oh right, Hammerhead crashes in standalone. @brambos said he’s not going to bother with beta related fixes, and I understand that. It runs fine as an AU in AUM though.
Definitely don't ask devs to fix bugs during beta, but I do report them. FWIW, I'm running the beta for my job, and I understand the risks!
Thanks for the heads up. So far problems have always been solved in the release versions of iOS, so it’s usually not worth the time to solve problems during (early) betas
I'm not a long term iOS user but I don't get this:
"The wheel doesn’t have to be reinvented every year, and the pandemic happened for everyone – Apple engineers included"
Why does it have to be a new iOS version then? The only reason I can think of is to make sure another suite of Apple devices are removed from the iOS upgrade list.
What I don’t understand is why do we get new bugs in the music apps again and again with (almost) each new iOS release.
