  • Thank you, as always, White, for your seemingly omniscient coverage of app drops and updates.

The pre-order price is $2.99 USD, and it is expected on July 16.

  • Effects can be automated via MIDI, but I don’t think even this app allows specific panning instructions on a timeline.

  • Nice. Looking forward to this one dropping. Here’s a question I was wondering about the Classic FX which I assume will be the same on this one. Is the automation set at one bar, or can it be varied?

  • Thanks for the heads up @White

I’m guessing here but $2.99 is most likely a discounted Intro price, and will go to $3.99 like classic fx.

    Good stuff @ElliottGarage

  • Just got the email. It’s out!

  • Giving this one a go. The randomization makes for fun mangling. Best used in parallel, I think. I would like to see a mode that also randomizes the order as well as the parameters, maybe when the Order mode is selected and you hit the dice? Anyway, back to giving it a run through.

The Auto mode works well. That’s a nice touch. Took me a while to spot the wet mix slider on the right. Saves setting up a parallel send. It would be nice if the wet mix slider was included in the automation.

I don’t think you need the Pan FX when you can already pan in the Spread FX? Seems like duplication and missing out on a more distinct FX slot there. For example, you could replace Pan with something like a spectral FX which would fit the mangling spirit more IMO.

Haven’t worked out what the Live mode does yet… [Edit: RTFM - it’s a hold and release mode. Got it]

I see EG Modern FX in the MIDI routing matrix in AUM but am wondering whether it sends CCs?
(That would allow me to directly record the movements as CCs in Xequence for instance and then play them back later (which is another question: can you send CCs directly to Modern FX or does that need to go through mapping them in AUM’s MIDI control?))
