Which audio interface works with IPad Air 4th generation usb c
I have an IPad Air that has usb c. I have used it with my Yamaha thr10ii and GarageBand and it works well but I am looking for an interface that can handle mic and line inputs without having to faff with usb power hubs and is basically plug and play. Preferably less than the £300 mark. Very grateful for all recommendations. Cheers

Motu M2/M4 is usbc bus powered. It comes with a usbc-usba cable, so instead I just use the white cable from my iPad Pro’s charger, usbc to usbc. Never had a problem. Powers all mic and line inputs, phantom power, and the interface itself. There are many many more bus powered interfaces that have been updated to be plug and play with usbc iPads…
Cheers JoyceRoadStudios. I was looking at the M4 so will probably go for this option.
The one catch with this option is that you're tied to the iPad battery. When it runs down, you can take a break. If you want to be able to charge at the same time, you can use the Apple USB/HDMI adapter which includes a power port, similar to the Lightning USB-3 adapter.
I will probably get one of these things too just in case and use it to connect the tv to it as a bonus
There appears to be a world shortage of the Motu M4’s. All online retailers seem to be out of stock and with at least a 6 week wait
The M4 and M2 both seem to come into stock in random bursts. The world's IC supply chain is a disaster right now. They do come back into stock though and if you really want one getting on wait lists can work relatively well. I eventually was able to get an M4 this way from Sweetwater and I really like the interface.
I use SSL 2+ with an iPad Air 4 and it works great 😉
highly recommend https://www.solidstatelogic.com/products/ssl2
Nice setup with the SSL 2. I ordered an M4 with a company that had a 2 week delivery date. They now inform me that they can't specify a delivery date!!!!
