Bassalicious2 making nasty click/pop sounds
Hi all,
R&b,neo, old school, funk etc fan here.
Every time I come back to Bassalicious2 I remember an issue I have with it. Every sound/patch I select and play, at the beginning of the sound I get a kinda click/pop sound..
It's like the sound driver is initialising or something like that.. it's an unwanted sound. The only workaround I've found it just to drop the Attack back a bit, effectively cutting off the very start of the sound when it plays.
But I'm not convinced it's just because each and every sound has a sharp attack, it just doesn't sound like that to me.
I don't get it with other apps.
Has anyone else has this problem? Either with Bassalicious2 it other apps.

This is likely an iOS issue which appears to have been minimized or fixed for a lot of people with the latest iOS update. Make sure your iPad is running the latest version of iOS first.
@BCKeys , yes exactly this.
So you do the same thing then.... Change the attack.. (I do this in the AMP section).
I found it curious that the presets they've included.. a fair number of them have this issue straight out of the box.... I always got the impression from Jamal's YouTube videos that they crafted each one finely.
I want to learn more about bassalicious2 tbh... There are some presets I really like the sound of but want to be able to effect the envelope to extend the close on the envelope (make the particular effect last longer on the note)...
I know in some synth apps you can literally draw the envelope you are looking for on a graph/waveform.
I don't think that's possible with bassalicious2, so maybe i can get what I want by changing the filter duration/time...
It's a beautifully sounding app on my opinion.
There is also ModelD which I have, based upon the mini Moog, which is apparently ah managing for bass, but bassalicious2 appealed to me immediately so went down that road..
I'll try and post a video/screen rec to show you what I'm talking about. At work at the moment
Yeah this app to be honest.... Seems to have awkward popping sounds over a lot of the presets.
It maybe it's my USB-c hub, I'm not sure....
I currently (rough setup) use USB-c dock, which had a 3.5mm aux out, run a headphone cable over to my amp so I can play out loud.
I've got a Behringer audio interface at home so I might try that to see if the pops disappear.
