Wav File Player with global ‘Files’ access and displays a waveform of the file ala Audioshare?

I am looking for something to browse and play wav files stored locally in ‘Files app’.

OPlayerHD Lite (free) https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/video-player-oplayerhd-lite/id385896088 does not show a waveform of the file but is really nice in that you can add folder access to various apps storage locations (you can play straight from BM3, NS2, Cubasis etc) without actually adding the files to OPlayer’s local space. I wish Audioshare would do this as it has a waveform view you can jump around but forces you to use it’s own local file storage.

Is there anything that can do this? Play wav files from anywhere without having to copy to the apps local storage and also displays a waveform of the file?

(OPlayerHD Lite… so nice having those locations accessible…)

(Bummer that this is all you get when you select the sound file…)

i want this…

  • @j_liljedahl Think it could be possible to support this in Audioshare?

  • Audioshare does show a 2d rendering of the waveform, from the side. Not a 3D wavetable like you would recognize from a synth.

Yah a standard Audioshare styled waveform would be perfect and is what I was talking about, not a visualizer or some 3d thing. It is this I want along with the ability to read wav files for playback anywhere in ios ‘Files’ without the need to copy to a specific player app's local storage, like Audioshare does.

(But hey a thread bump is a thread bump, thanks!)

  • Oh snap, I have this! Totally forgot about it, thanks!! :)

Yeah Auditor is a nice app, but wish it had a way of integrating the Files browser into the main view as a quick browse option like Audioshare. I doubt if that's possible with the Files app in current iOS though.

I doubt it as well, as it would break the user data portion of the app sandbox.

@AudioGus These folders in your first pic ... are these actual copies inside OPlayerHD? It's empty on my music iPad.

You need to grant access to the folders that you want to see using the + on the top right. Also it does work recursively through sub folders which is nice.

Oh, good to know! It allows access to the classic "iTunes File Share" of other apps. Nice indeed. :+1:
