Drum/percussion AU (with choke groups) that can load 3rd party desktop kit files

As far as I know, only Virsyn’s AudioLayer can load kit files via the EXS24 format. Does anyone know of a dedicated drum/percussion AU that loads 3rd party kit files?

AudioLayer is great and it supports choke groups (named mute groups) but I would love to find a dedicated drum/percussion app that could do similar as dedicated drum/percussion apps have their own advantages. EXS24 would probably do as a universal format as it’s probably easier to implement than the other main desktop kit file formats - Maschine, Geist, Battery, Kontakt and Ableton; although something that follows the MPC approach to banks of 16 pads is preferable.

The reason I’d love to see this capability in an iOS drum/percussion app is that I’ve been collecting GoldBaby sample packs for many years and the main thing it’s taught me is that auditioning a multitude of individual kit samples is a soul destroying process, whereas auditioning a range of kits utilising the same samples is a far more inspirational workflow.

In terms of current AU apps enhancing their features, FAC Drumkit would most definitely benefit from 3rd party kit loading (if choke groups were added too). In fact, it would partner the ‘play sample in place’ aspect of FAC Drumkit very nicely as desktop libraries can be on the large size so you want to minimise duplication of the same assets across the iOS file system. As much as I like Hammerhead I’m not sure it’s design could take advantage of 3rd party kit loading, although in many ways I prefer it to FAC Drumkit as a sample host (a combination of it’s refreshing approach to compression/distortion/saturation, and its smart automation options).
