Some knobs of my Arturia Beatstep not working accurate:
Hi
I have read others here on the forum who were talking about the same problem.
Some knobs, in absolute, of my Arturia Beatstep not working accurate: they jump much values, notes in seq mod and from 0 to 127 in contrl mode also.
I think is a hardware issue because concerning only knobs 1 2 3 4.
Does exist a method to unplug the knobs and clean contacts?
has anyone fixed this defect?
Thanks

Is it possible to reset the Beatstep with the computer software?
i suppose there is a soft reset with the midi control center and also a hardware one.
but I don't think it's a software problem, because it only occurs on some knobs
Is it possible to choose Passthrough mode for only certain knobs or not? Also, Arturia are pretty good at responding to requests for help, I seem to remember.
Make sure acceleration is turned off, or set to minimum.
I gave up on that thing as a controller some time ago, but as far as I remember I managed to get it working more or less ok.
if turning a knob for 5-10 seconds for full travel works for you that’s one route...
alternatively, I made a Mozaic script that would filter out values sent from the controller (values responsible for acceleration) so I can switch back and forth depending on application. I could be wrong, but as far as I remember knob would send value 63 to decrease the param and 65 to increase, when you turn the knob faster each way it would send a different value (f.e 62 to decrease, 66 to increase), Mozaic would filter out those values at will.
the acceleration of the knobs is set medium on all knobs and concerns the CC values and not the note sequence values. I find the discomfort in cntrl mode and seq mode
I'm in contact with arturia,
they say to reinstall the firmware, today i try i don't think to solve
or check relative mode (in my case all presets are absolute mode)
I have to send a video of the problem
ah, sorry missed the absolute part... I was talking about relative mode
