How To Export Presets From FM Player 2 to KQ Dixie?
I really (really) like the app "FM Player 2" but unfortunately, the app crashed too often in AUM. Is there a way to open the presets of FM Player 2 in KQ Dixie?
When you export a preset in FM Player 2, it creates a .fm file that I cannot open in KQ Dixie.
I recently grab the batch of preset from the DX7 cartridge, but I don't want a millions of so so presets, I just want the really good presets from the FM Player 2 app.
Thank you.

FM Player 2 is a 'rompler'(ie. sample player) so the only way to 'export' the presets is the re-create the patches in KQ Dixie...
Since FM Player 2 is based on processed samples from a DX7 you could try to download...

...Import it to KQ Dixie and dig thru the Original Yamaha preset banks for DX7 until you find what you like
Cheers!
Excellent answer, as always, thank you!
I've actually done this. For the FM Player presets identified as original DX7, compared to the KQ Dixie implementation from the Yamaha factory carts. When the FX are turned off in FM player, the sounds are identical (to my ears).
Thanks for the link!
