Live master chain?
I’m thinking about running my whole live set through AUM so I can put a final “mastering” eq and compression for when I play it out. I have an iPad Air 4 running AUM with a Digitone as the sound card. I currently have AUM loaded up with 5 channels: 2 DRC, 1 Drambo running 1 synth + FX at a time, and Continua. There’s also a Dubstation delay channel for sending certain tracks. Each track also has BLEASS compressor on it. I’ve managed to run my buffer at 128 with no issues, only occasionally hitting the red for a split second, but usually hovering between 35-70% DSP according to AUM, and I’d like to keep it that way. I know that will take a bit of a hit if I also then route the Digitone audio through it, too.
What light-weight but good EQ and compressors would you suggest for that final chain? I’ll say that I haven’t totally been thrilled with the BLEASS compressor, but if people have good settings for it, I’d be down to give it a try for this.

I would say Korvpressor.
It's a good all round compressor, has subtle eq,
a maximizer and Brickwall limiter built in.
Switch off Lookahead and you're good to go.
I don't have the Bleass compressor but there is also another thing
you could do which is to use the Bleass compressor as a brickwall limiter.
Set the Bleass compressor to maximum compression.
Set threshold very high and gradually bring the threshold down.
This should create a Brickwall limiter off the top of my head.
Use gain to compensate for level loss or use 'Make Up'.
There's a thread floating around that goes in depth into using this technique.
I'm sure others will chime in.
I’ll check out Kovpressor. I can get BLEASS limiting fine, I just haven’t found the compression specifically to really give me that nice “glued together” feeling.
My live master chain usually consist of a few different things, depends on what I’m creating. Lately I use the tripleband barkfilter trick, or TB barricade paired with a tb compressor, maybe a light eq…. Depends.
I have tonebooster’s equaliser on the master channel. Compressor template. I’m pleased with it.
Yeah, I hear ya.
Korvpressor comes close quite often hence why I recommended it.
When I’m doing stuff with live mastering apps in the signal path in AUM?
this is what I use for the most part.
‘!MakeLouder’, because it makes things louder and one
can choose whether to have subtle saturation or not.
‘Stereo Tool’, because it does stuff to the stereo field which isn’t only MS-decoding.
‘Korvpressor’ because it provides transparent compression with the ability to colour the sound at will.
Sometimes I will use only !MakeLouder because
I quite often have quite complex mixes going on when doing live stuff.
Both !MakeLouder and Stereo Tool have major flaws
seen from one perspective in that they don’t state save
which can be annoying but I love the sound of them
and that’s more important.
I can easily dial in the tones and space
I need for when recording and performing live.
I like their imperfections.
If you're mostly worried about not hitting the red i'd strongly recommend Amazing Noises Limiter. It does exactly that in a simple, no frills app. Transparent and low CPU too.
OR....If you happen to have it or want to spring for it the DDMF 'No Limits' limiter is really great for glue.
for EQ the RRS EQ3 is simple but effective
