Tube AU and WebSDR in Cubasis 3
Can anyone tell me how I can use either of theses two apps within C3?
Both of them load as an instrument and play fine in C3 until you move on to another track and then the sound abruptly stops. I could live with this but my real gripe is that I can't work out how to record the audio.
I know that Cubasis' audio routing is limited. Are there any apps that would enable me to grab the audio?
I've played around with the Cubasis mini sampler and Segments but no joy.
Please tell me if I'm missing something obvious/basic... I'm perfectly capable of this 😂
I do own AUM but don't use it, happy to buy whatever app will let me progress....

Those AUs need to be visible/open to keep playing sound. The same thing happens in AUM if you close their windows.
In Cubasis I’ve just tested a possible workaround with the new Koala AUV update. I placed Koala in the Tube AU effect slot. It allowed me to see the Tube AU window at the same time as Koala and it recorded the audio into Koala with no problem. There could well be a more elegant solution but using Koala as a recorder definitely works 👍
Edit: Just noticed you mentioned Segments. I’d imagine that would work in the same way in the effects slot. Just make sure TubeAU is visible and it should keep playing.
Brilliant. I'll give this method a go. I'm about to buy Koala anyway but I'll try Segments in this way when I'm back in front my iPad. Cheers
Oh, as mentioned in your other thread, this is on Cubasis for not recording AU audio. Pretty sure AUM does.
Yep, AUM records Tube AU fine but you have to keep the window open. It’s not an issue there though as you can have a number of floating windows going at the same time.
So,ist it not possible to open tube au i.e.in the effect slot and record straight into an audio track?
