What did i miss in the last 12 months?
Pretty much a year ago i managed to break the glas of my beloved pro 10,5 and my first attempt to fix it ended in the purchase of a M1 macbook.it was a good descision as i was a little tired from ios anyway. Now i said to myself it‘s time to fix that damn ipad and it magically transformed into a new pro 11. I almost completely ignored ios productivity releases but as we all know, appoholism is never cured. So,now i‘m looking for the“hottest sh*t“ that i missed in the last 12 months.
edit: me dumb or why can i not choose categories in the ios 15 appstore anymore?i can only filter by category if i type something into the search box which is not exactly what i try to archieve.I love how apple continues to “improve“ the appstore usability…

OT - but I’m really disappointed at Serif Labs that they hav’nt released Affinity Publisher for iPad yet ☹️☹️☹️
The beta version for Mac/Win was released for more than three years ago, but, still not even in beta stadium for iPad…
IK MixBox - great value if you can wait for a sale, has various classic compressor emulations (1176, LA2A, …), EQs (Neve, API, …) and plenty more.
Lunar Lander - lovely sounding BBD delay / plate emulations.
Edit: And Cubasis 3 has had a couple of serious feature drop updates - now has multi-core, plug-in multi-output support, side-chaining support.
Don’t forget about the new emojis
multicore support?Thata great,it‘s already in my arsenal of course
Radio Unit and the Drambo wavetable IAP.

Lunar Lander does sound lovely. Hopefully the developer will tune-up knob responsiveness etc. as it feels a bit wonky, but the sound engine's fantastic.
Synthmaster 2.x for iPad - best music app ever on iPad…
ID700, an interesting synth that I haven't really dug into yet:

Gauss!
BeatCutter:

Enjoyable and very easy to use.
Highlights for me in the past year or so came from...
Developers
Audiomodern - https://apps.apple.com/developer/id1435691908
BLEASS - https://apps.apple.com/developer/id1220444177
K-Devices - https://apps.apple.com/developer/id1151339600
Apps
Hammerhead - https://apps.apple.com/app/id1568699989
Piano Motifs - https://apps.apple.com/app/id1506065573
Velvet Machine - https://apps.apple.com/app/id1534554750
I don't have them, but the physically modeled GeoSWAM instruments (IAP) in the GeoShred apps get a lot of love.
I see what you did there
Sugar Bytes DrumComputer is pretty nifty, too - https://apps.apple.com/id1502238351
And another one from mr Bram Bos. Hammerhead
Atom 2 and Helium might be of interest if you are into Piano roll sequencers.
My personal highlight was that Apple finally dropped Logic for iPad 🤓
lol, nice try but for sure i wouldn‘t have missed THAT one 🤓
thank@all
sure i need to study a bit now.But how come no one mentioned Atom piano 2? 😏 i‘ve seen that one as well and also the nice upgrade offer.Guess that will be my“first“ purchase
Check out Gavinski's Tutorials, if you haven't. Our ol' pal has covered a lot of the new releases - https://www.youtube.com/c/Gavinski'sTutorials
Piano Motifs and Riffler are two amazing apps for generating ideas or whole compositions. Chowdhury DSP released Chow Tape Model and Chow Centaur, two great free effects along with Chow Kick, a kick drum synth, again, free. Lots of new stuff from 4Pockets. Pure Acid audio unit now supports midi out, sEGments has an iap that lets you import multi samples , Nembrini keeps releasing amazing amps. It's been a good year for IOS music ( or a bad one for app- oholics).
SWAM brass and current beta of woodwinds. Also found in GeoShred in truncated form.
Koala had nifty updates (AU, piano roll, time stretch modes)
Welcome back!
Yes! The Swam apps, and Atom 2!
This whole bundle https://apps.apple.com/us/app-bundle/ers-bundle/id1584466104
i had riffer before but is it true that it‘s polyphonic now? That‘s big
And then there was gadget or the korg apps being AU
A Dim D??? Holy smoke 👌
I figure Korg is still hard at work on that one.
thanks ✌️
You really learn to be patient the japanese/zen way 😁
Imaginando Visual Synthesizer, for midi synced visuals
Toneboosters Flowtones, a feature packed VA synth
Riffer allows you to run four tabs in one instance now. You can have all four running the same scale, key, and rhythm or you can have them all running something different. Riffler is a new app for generating guitar parts by Jonathan Bell. https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/45958/riffler-by-jonathan-bell/p1
Definitely worth checking out if you want an awesome rhythm guitar player in your pocket.
Gauss and SWAM brass are my top two, I think. The SWAM flugel is my fave, but if you only buy one then get the trumpet.
