AB Input volume setting
I am finding that whenever I boot up AB I have to click the gear and nudge the input slider for the setting I left it on to actually take hold. That is, how do I get the app to save the actual state this slider indicates instead of defaulting to a lower level?

Hi @jeffry . Since this forum covers a lot more than just Audiobus, I suggest you edit the title to include the word "Audiobus".
I've tagged @Michael , since this sounds like an internal Audiobus problem.
I don't understand. Are you saying that the input slider isn't in the same position for a saved session that you've reopened?
Or are you expecting the app to default to some setting without you loading any session? That wouldn't be expected behavior. Some apps open to the last opened state, including opening the last project you were working on, but most don't. When Audiobus opens, it opens to an non-initialized state with no session loaded.
If you're opening a saved session and it's not restoring all settings, that would be a bug.
The best option here is to create presets that are your “blank templates” for a new session.
If by “input slider” you mean the volume level for the internal mic, or the input of an audio interface (for recording guitar or vocals, etc) then like @wim says you should be able to load a saved session that will recall your basic setup including input levels.
Yes I am referring to the slider accessed by hitting the gear icon that controls interface input gain. That gain is not being retained with the preset, though it appears when I give it that nudge it will stay at that level for the next preset.
Just to be completely literal, I think you mean this Input Level adjustment
And I understand that the slider is restored to the correct position in the preset, but the actual level is some other (default) value. When you move the slider slightly, the input level returns to the slider value. Is that a correct description? If so, it seems like that's entirely up to @Michael to update the Input Level to the set value.
What is the input device? And what OS version?
interface is m-audio m-track plus, os is 14.7.1
