OPERATION KORGANIZE

How can we force KORG to release all there instruments in and out of gadget as AUV3's?

Violent upheaval and revolution is not on the table...yet.

  • Just to be clear violence is never on the table. Violence is just not very cool.

  • WOW I sent them a message for that long ago no response...
I would be nice to have KORG Gadget exploded into separate AUv3's
    After all it is 2021

Several million dollars would probably do it.

You can’t. If KORG sees no value in it, they won’t do it.

  • Korg is a large company owned by a larger company so they don’t have the luxury of pursuing “passion projects” (if you can call that a luxury). Before they dedicate development hours, they need to draw up a business case and weigh it against other projects on their roadmap.

They also need to consider expected sales vs. the cost of ongoing support, so splitting Gadget into separate AUs is potentially dangerous.

I’d love to see it happen but I’m not holding my breath.

  • Just buy it on the desktop 😜

  • Korg does more than Yamaha and Roland who do have walled garden DAW’s but no synths as AUv3. But we all would spend big time for AUv3 gadgets. There are still IAA synths I’d like to see upgraded to AUv3.

    Interesting assumption.

I'm not sure everyone would be re-buying all the Gadets they already have. Some might, but I wonder what the actual numbers would be and if that would make it worthwhle to Korg to rebuild them as AUv3s. I would guess not.

Besides, why would Korg take a risk on this? They already have an app with lots of users and they can just make more money by releasing an IAP sound pack every now and then. No risk and more profits.

  • Hopefully they release Triton as a Gadget-compatible app and as an AUv3. That would be amazing. I'd pay $50 or more for that.

A what? Sorry I have no idea what that is. Desktop as in desk? Like those things they used in ancient times to hoist computer monitors from the ground?

Why would they need our money, when they can have our heartfelt gratitude instead?

  • Might we also include:
“Add the multiplayer elements from the Nintendo Switch port” to our list of demands politely worded requests?

    What about consensual violence?

  • A “name brand” DAW coming to iPad could facilitate things. Might be better to apply pressure there if successful the Auv3’s would rapidly follow

Is there a name brand DAW coming to iOS?

  • I would be happy if they released only their IAA synths as AUv3. They did it for Module and Electribe Wave, I hope the rest will follow one day soon.

  • As I've mentioned a few times, iTriton, iProphecy & i700S AUv3's in a $99 bundle and I'd be on it like hot butter...
...they could Strat with the MDE-X AUv3 for $39.99 to 'test the waters'.

  • I think You have to go to Inagi office and explain them that You want for them to work day and night for the same money
But to be honest I don't belive that KORG will go through ios world as brave as years ago

Is not Cubasis a “name brand” DAW?

I mean Steinberg - along with eMagic back then - have been there since the beginning. Steinberg invented the VST (and were good enough/savvy enough to make the concept & technicals free to the development community).

You could ask whether we would be making music on iOS at all now with auv3s without Steinberg’s innovation all those years back.

So I’d say Steinberg are very much a name brand. And they have a DAW on here.

Name brand DAW would be Cubase. not Cubasis.

More synth developers would take iPadOS seriously if the DAW vendors did

    Yeah, I agree.

My post said: "Is there a name brand DAW coming to iOS?"

I was asking realdawei if he knew of a new name brand DAW coming to iOS. I wasn't suggesting that there wasn't a name brand DAW already on iOS.

I would definitely be re-buying Madrid.

    AllAppsMatter

Been way too long for a real Gadget/Korg update!

  • Does anyone know if their desktop plugins are AUv3 or VST3 or are they the older v2 types? I checked on their website but can't tell from the specs.
