FRMS Sound Wave Size?
Hi,
New to granular synths here.....
QUESTION..... I see examples /samples where they use or pull in a sound wave. It "seems" like most of the time, they limit or narrow the sound wave and only use a piece of it.
So why not just chop it in a simple wave editor and bring in the piece that you need?

I prefer to import a larger sound and then scout out sweet spots in it for use. Keeping it big also keeps my options open for exploring other parts of the sound that didn’t first catch my fancy. I would definitely trim down to only the necessary bits If I were planning to release/sell patches.
