Yea I think that was the Imaginando 10 year Anniversary sale.
Yes they do go on sale. It’s not even BF Yet, so if you are interested in something that isn’t on sale, patience might be more valuable then ever over the next 6 weeks. lol. Basically anything has a chance to go on sale over the next six weeks.
I just checked their paid apps and they had a great sale last year for 3 days on BF weekend, then continued to have a smaller sale through December. Also a 7 day sale during BF week in 2021. If I had to guess I would expect some type of Imaginando sale happening within the next 8 days.
Opened up iPhilicorda again and now it shows I have the unlock!
So if you had that same issue as me, might want to check again now on the fingrlab apps unlock
Not sure yet if I was double charged or not though
Not sure why but I noticed that as well. It’s totally at the developers discretion. Maybe they decided not to put that one on sale, or maybe they are saving that sale for another time soon. I’m just guessing, but I was curious why that one app wasn’t discounted too.
In terms of contact I’m not sure about DDMF, but if you search for the developer website you might find a way to reach out.
PS. DDMF is not technically the developers name, I can’t remember it, it’s actually a few pages back, so check there or the App Store, then search by that name. Let us know if you get an answer.
Update - I don’t think Aeropads is even AB3 compatible. I just searched it on the Audiobus compatible apps page and it did not come up. I’m not sure if there is any connectivity.
Christian Siedschlag is the guy’s name, but the developer website on his apps still point to DDMF’s website.
Looking for comments/opinions on Mantis, Speakers and Springs if anyone has any.
Is springs better than what’s available in Altispace? Is Mantis miles ahead of Ratshack? Can Speakers do interesting spaces that aren’t lofi cliche?
Generally not sure about Audiothing apps but slight interest in these. Thanks
Thanks for looking into that for me. I’ll put Autopad at the top of my watchlist! 👀
I don’t think so. They don’t mention it in the App Store description so I wouldn’t imagine so. Autopads is a similar app and IS AUv3. It’s great as well and offers custom sample import for your own sounds.
Yes yes and yes.
Springs isn’t trying to be AltiSpace or any similar app, it’s doing its own thing so I wouldn’t go into it expecting typical IRs. It’s emulating classic/rare/weird spring reverbs of the past, and it’s great at it.
Mantis can definitely do a lot more than Ratshack. I own and love both. Ratshack is quick and dirty. Mantis can be as well but offers a whole lot more tone shaping capabilities.
Speakers can also do some less lofi sounds but you have to work for it. Some of the amp, mic, and cabinet IRs can really beef up the sound. It has multiple types of saturation and distortion as well. That said, lofi and weird is its strong suit so if you don’t want lofi at all I probably wouldn’t grab it. It would have more limited use for you if you’re only wanting more beefy sounds. It’s one of my personal favorites of theirs though.
Is the currently on sale Magicdeatheyestereo worth getting if someone has the tube compressor in ik mixbox?
To answer my own question, yes they can be exported but…you need to access them via iTunes on a desktop with your iPad connected (this is on PC, don’t know if Mac is any different?). What’s more, after getting my hopes up, they are in .wtb format and neither Drambo or Buttersynth can read them.
There’s even a Wave2Quantum tool out there by Werner Schönenberger which converts .wtb to wav but…only if the .wtb file was created by Waldorf Wave - or, at least, i can’t get it to work.
If anyone knows of any workarounds, please do post.
So close and yet so far.
Yes. It's in a different class. Pick up booth the "mono" and stereo flavours if your budget allows as they each have a different feel and tonal characteristics. You'll find each reacts differently to the specifics of your program material.
If you only have the budget for one, I'd suggest the "mono" version as it's easier to setup. Don't let the "mono" put you off. With the hardware version of MDE, it is indeed a mono compressor better suited to tracking, whilst the stereo version excels at bus compression. In the would of digital DAWS, stereo comes for free, so the mono version is in-fact stereo.
If you have desktop system. Download the desktop demos and get a feel for each - testing both compressor options on a variety of program material.
Yes to both Springs and Mantis.
I can’t speak to Speakers (don’t own it)
Thanks for your opinion:)
I was about to get only the stereo one because of the more features like the eq which goes inside compressor. Not sure if I get Pro R2 (have Pro R) otherwise I probably get the mono one too.
Unfortunately no desktop available for testing the demo.
What do you all think the odds of Buttersynth going on sale for Black Friday are? I know I’ve been wanting Agonizer but if that goes on sale the same day, I may have to seriously consider which one lol
I’m sure many of you know about the new Imaginando app Bam, but since it came up…
Bam - BeatMaker & Songmaker is still 30% off on intro pricing for a limited time at $20.99
It’s hard to say.
In terms of your potential decision… I do think, generally speaking, Kai Aras apps go on sale a little more often then buttersynth. So the opportunity to get BS on sale might be a little bit rarer than getting Agonizer on sale. I’d check AppSliced price history on both, and see if that gives you any indication.
I’m not sure to be honest. I bought the app when it came out but I’m usually using the beta and have been on the beta for a couple years now, so I never really know when it’s on sale or not. It’s probably a top 3 iOS synth though, and I’d choose it over Agonizer any day.
Buttersynth was on sale in July for 50% off so there's a very good chance it'll go on sale at least once over the holidays.
How complex is mKer. I was on the beta but never dove deep because of initial learning cure, the developer planned to add features that would make it more intuitive, but the beta is over. It feels like a great deal $3.99 for a multitrack sequencer. So what y’all think?
mKer is pretty deep and certainly isn’t one of those apps you can buy and immediately get going on something super quickly. It’s a great app, but you’ll at least need to watch a couple of videos or spend an hour diving in and learning your way around. In my experience anyway. You do get a whole lot for $3.99 though.
Thanks @HotStrange

I picked up Speakers, Springs, Lines, and WoodValvet…just waiting on Fabfilter now…ProR2 and Twin 3 🤞🏼oh and drumcomputer…
Just picked up the Eventide reverb bundle for about $30. Seemed well-worth it?

If you want a clip launcher grovebox with automation and a unique interface that can do polyrhythms mKer is certainly a go to. For 4 bucks get it and see if it fits your flow. I like getting different sequencers because for the most part I find they express things differently and therefore the music rendered is different.
mKer has had several updates - not quite as many as mLFO - and has added some quality of life things like having CHORDS on steps, negating the need to put each note of a chord on separate tracks.
Super easy to separate multiple parts and do arranging, once you get used to the paging system.
Will Pro R2 go on sale so soon after they just brought it out? I'd be surprised, but who knows.
