I hope Modartt go on sale !

I think they usually do a summer sale only.

Nah, they did a Black Friday sale last year, so finger crossed.

Ah thanks, that would be great. I am still hesitating to upgrade to pro license.

Personally I think AppRaven lifetime purchase is a better buy if you're a heavy app collector. Appsliced doesn't show you IAPs for sale within the app, you have to set up email alerts for those. Appsliced allows you to see at any given time all iaps on sale for any apps, all filterable, of course

You make a good argument of appraven, but appsliced meets my needs. All I need is an email alert. Hard to want to pay. Seen so many of these sites come & go that a "lifetime" purchase is most definitely going to be their lifetime, not yours. Remember appshopper, or apptizr ... appbutler?

Appliced sounds good. But it doesn’t tell me why I need to create an account with them. Did I overlook this? Where can I find out more?

You don't necessarily need an account. They made it where you need to log in to use their search, but I just use Google instead. Example search: steppolyarp app sliced

Would definitely be a great opportunity to get some new piano packs.

Brazilian Drum Machine by Lumbeat (!)

    $17.99 -> $12.99

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/brazilian-drum-machine/id988165210

oh great, been waiting for this one to go on sale

everyone: be fast, this won't last!

  • Does anyone know how preprders work as far as... i bought a gift card, loaded it up, let's say $10,000. Preordered Proceeate Dreams. Then i went buck wild on these recent sales, and last night i tried to buy Igor's Spacedields, but was denied. Said i only had $1.36 in account. Fair enough, but does that mean the $20 was already accounted for, and i WILL get Dreams on the 22nd? Or nope, is gone?
If it is still holding the money, and i cancel preorder, will the money instantly be there to use, or takes a few days like an apple receipt does?

As mentioned all Igor Vasilev aka iMusicAlbum apps are 33% to 50% off. Photo for list.

Finally got SynthScaper, the only one I didn't have. Now, over to try it out. 😁
EDIT: Wtf! It's not AUV3, the LE version is so I took that for granted, how stupid of me... Refund (I think)

Yeah I’m not sure why LE is AUV3 and that isn’t. Maybe LE was AUV3 from the start and it’s too much work to change the first one? I’m not sure.

As far as I can recall, yes, that’s roughly it.

Synthscaper is about 6 years old and was designed with IAA and Audiobus interfacing in mind. The user interface works as a full screen app. Synthscaper LE was added after AUv3s became available on iOS. It has lots of sound control parameters, but not the depth that Synthscaper has. The LE version can also import scene packs created with Synthscaper.

In general, retrofitting AUv3 into an existing synth app is a major rework. And on top of that, the user interface needs to be resizable. Synthscaper’s UI uses a lot of screen real estate for custom control panels, so that would need to be completely redesigned as well. It supports iPhone screen sizes, but looks quite different there already. As an AUv3, it would need to support a continuous range of UI sizes. (Some AUv3 apps simply ignore the resizability requirement, like Fundamental, but that also makes them less accessible as a plugin. The Synthscaper concept just works better full screen.)

My understanding is that the LE version is the developer’s attempt to recreate as much of Synthscaper as possible with a more resizable interface.

Hi! Do any of you know if StepPolyArp tends to go on sale for black friday? Thanks

Seems not. This is easily checked on appsliced.co btw, super useful

Thanks so much for the info! I will check out appsliced😃

This is my own opinion but SynthScaper is the finest of Igor's apps. He makes a lot of genius apps, most of which are fantastic for making crazy noises and sowing chaos, but SynthScaper is eminently playable and makes beautiful sounds.

I'm always hesitant to buy apps that don't seem active. SynthScaper's last update was in 2019. I know some apps are just "finished" from a feature perspective, but I've had many apps that stop getting updates and eventually stop working or don't work correctly on certain devices. Is that the case here?

You can do it. Egoist has something like a stepsequencer. Let some gaps between the events.

So I can drop multiple samples into Egoist and jump between them like I can with a single long sample?

The FabFilter Pro Bundle 2023 has been updated to include the new Reverb 2. It has 7 apps and is only $89.99. I think this is a relatively recent assembled bundle.

I have all of the bundle apart from Pro-R2. But the bundle is showing for me for £89.99 without a discount for any the items I already own. Has apple changed the way it discounts previous purchases on bundles?

If you have previously bought a bundle, then none of the apps in that bundle can contribute towards the price reduction of subsequent bundles.

BlueNote - Learn Music By ear

Just started playing around with this… thanks Poppadocrock !
In addition to its intended purpose it strikes me that it had some neat sound morphing and mangling features (no connectivity unfortunately but you can always screen record) that might be of interest to somebody like @Svetlovska .

  • Productivity

Snap Markup Annotation Tool is free usually $1.99

That would be awesome. Every bit helps. This time of year it basically becomes a part time job, lol. I usually only share my donation details once a quarter or every 3 months, so I don’t bombard people with asking for contributions. However since it came up…
I’d love to have a lifetime to app Raven, I was hoping it would go on sale, which it has before, but not sure how often. I’m not sure how that would work exactly, but if it is possible it would be much appreciated. Donations are always welcome also.

  • Thanks … is Cubasis 2 worth getting? I use GarageBand but can’t use au midi apps like helium and mKer. Thought about getting audio evolution mobile studio but wondered if Cubase would be better?

  • Music IAP Sales! Bleass Groovebox, Cubasis apps, Looperator is lower then I thought.

For $12, I'd say it's worth it. But if I could only choose one, I would go with Audio Evolution Mobile Studio due to the likelihood of future updates and to support a hard-working indie dev.

Thanks, do you have audio evolution studio? Does it accept AU Midi apps? I bought, helium, mKer, Euclidean, Arpbud and rhythmbud in the sales and can’t use them in GarageBand!

  • @jking Yes, it does. It says so in the App Store description -- "Audio Unit instruments, effects and AU MIDI".

Also consider the difference in app sizes if storage space is a concern for you.

Thanks, I didn’t see that ! And there is a huge difference in size isn’t there. How do the two compare featurewise?
