New SynthJacker version in the works
Just wanted to drop by to let you know that I'm working on a new version of SynthJacker. See Facebook post (also on Instagram) for a teaser screenshot: https://www.facebook.com/ConiferProductions/posts/pfbid02JCCP3HxbgQots1Hs4YBc5DEch4o2f2SnEP58EnkFpFZmDyGvHYfpzaFRwRGje6gYl
Since this is pretty much a rewrite using SwiftUI, modern concurrency in Swift 5.5+, and all the audio and MIDI goodies in recent iOS versions, it will take some time to even get on par with the current version. But I'd still like to hear any ideas that you might have regarding any future developments.
Here is a tentative list I have thought about, add your own:
- Offline rendering of AUv3 instruments
- Insert effects (AUv3) for sampled sounds
- Decent Sampler and Bitwig multisample as new output formats
- Proper level metering
- Online repository of sampled sound packs
I had an interesting 2022 what with changing jobs and not a lot of time for a side hustle like this, but I'm trying to carve some more time to develop SynthJacker, since it seems to be a useful tool to many. I try to check in on this forum occasionally, but please make any support related contact by e-mail (you can do this from the app, see the Settings section).

Current version user here. Very excited to hear about this, and especially the Decent Sampler and Bitwig output options, and a sound pack resource. Good luck with the development!
Very interesting!
Oh, yes please!
Yep, decent Sampler output would be killer! Now could you also go and somehow help the DS dev make Decent Sampler less of a buggy piece of shit? 🤪
Renoise and xi tracker instrument formats?
