I may have to run this up the flagpole and see who salutes. Take the helicopter view.

Update: I am confirming Lush. And Moist.

  • Ahhhhh so, many, cool, apps, so, little, money, & storage, lol

  • Does this do much more than Alteza (which I bought a few days ago)? Or a combination of Alteza, Silo, Blackhole etc.?

The latter I would say, it gives a very clean return signal though, despite being overwhelming. Alteza is Alteza but this is worth having, you'll love it.

It's 10mb so that's not an issue. PM me your email and I'll give it as a gift for you, as a thank you for maintaining the sales thread. :)

I think so. Or rather, not more, but different, a different character to Alteza and Blackhole, and Mangleverb, and Zero, and Eos, and Stratosphere, and Toneboosters, and all the other verbs I’ve got. ‘Softer’ is the way I’d put it, and somehow more integrated with the sounds affected, rather than being the ambience they sit in, if that makes any sense.

This is only my initial messing with presets, and I’m sure a skilled operator could make those other apps dance a similar tune, but I like reverb effects a lot, tend to rely on only slightly tweaked presets, and find it is horses for courses. This one has an off-the-shelf sonic character which seems pretty unique, I think I’ll find room for it. But hang on for vids and see what you think.

This thing is the most amazing plug in effect I might have tried yet ?

For reals… that is extremely nice of you. I’ll DM you right now. Wasn’t expecting to get this one just yet but bring it on, lol.

I feel like it’s just been app after app being released recently, plus several to come some with the new Bram, and big time developer, and others. I do love Velvet Machine and Xynthsizer so I’d be honored to accept this

I find the Alteza sound a bit….fizzy….so clean is good…

Thanks for that, yeah think I need to hear a bit more, before further enlarging my reverb app folder!

I think this is different. I’ve got too many reverbs too, but this one feels like something else.

  • I’m in love 😍 this plugin is FANTASTIC 🙌

  • edited April 2023

More I use it on different sounds more I love it , versatile from softer to very creative and it respect enhance your creativity.

  • Wow, this is amazing! One of the best reverbs ever. Rivals my favorite Blackhole and I think better than Velvet.

Underpriced by far. Pairs really well with Nambu.

  • Okay so I’ve spent the last hour or so diving into this and it’s honestly incredible. Sounds very beautiful but can also get experimental and noisy. 10/10.

That does sound like a combo - actually the iceworks reverb is really the weakest part of all their apps so I always tend to use external reverbs with them anyway. Bet this would be great with Mersenne and Kronecker!

  • Wow, some killer sounding presets with this!

This is right up there in Alteza territory to me.

As a non-native English speaker, what do people means when they say "lush"? I read this word so many times, not sure what it means.

It's like "transparent overdrive", I just cannot understand the meaning of it.

    Thanks

Hahah I just came off a rant in another thread about overuse of meaningless buzzwords. “Lush” indeed is a major qualifier.

Waiting for “moist” to catch on. 😂

God I hate that word 😂 imagine “this synth sounds so moist” 🤢

Overuse of corporate buzzwords in everyday English drives me up the wall, always has. Americans seem particularly blighted by this affliction. But even just in a work context, it's annoying af and always strikes me as a sign of insincerity, insecurity or a need to impress. I hate when I send a complaint to a company and they reply by thanking me for 'reaching out'. No, I'm not reaching out, I'm complaining or making a suggestion 😅

"We need to do a deep dive on these actionables once we have more bandwidth again. You guys will really have to open the kimono and leverage the shit out of this if we want to do an Elon and stay on the bleeding edge. Let's circle back once you're done."

The TV show Succession is great at parodying this. I mean I LOVE these phrases when they're used knowingly and humorously, but when used without self awareness they really make me roll my eyes, inwardly at least, haha.

That said, I have no problems here with anyone, including myself, using the word 'worflow' 😉

Oh good grief. This is bringing back unwelcome memories of a former boss of mine. I couldn’t listen to her for more than 5 minutes without glazing over, exhausted from trying to do a continuous simultaneous translation of the corporate speak into something vaguely intelligible. Excuse me while I go and gibber in a corner…

Reminds me of my first group meeting, when I worked in a large tech corporate.

Manager: “So next week I’d like to roll out the XHTL SDG for Q3, so UK-2s can implement it on PDQ RSJ’s, while D4 install PHP 7.5 on batch 6HK server site EMS12 for HK and NY jelly. HR5 can JP the DP4S before Q4. Any questions?”

Senior coder Dan: “Yes, Kim…what the f*** are you talking about?”

And yeah, 'actioning things'... Ugh... The pathological need to turn every noun into a verb. To 'verb' everything, I mean 🤮

But also the opposite of this too. What's a fucking "wait list"??! You don't use a "sleep" bag, or a "walk" stick. It's a WAITING list

Update - I realise that it's not technically the opposite, because "wait" is still a verb, but still....

  • That’s a great demo @eylvy
It’s exactly what I’ve found…a beautiful, rich reverb that somehow also maintains a distinct clarity of the original tone. I’m a tremendous fan of Alteza and Blackhole and this is quite different but ranks right up there! Didn’t think I needed another reverb…but I was wrong.

Agreed. Think it’s up there with Alteza for my favorite/best reverb on iOS that isn’t a convolution or IR.

There are some very different Reverbs out there, each with a unique take. These days I'm glad there's an app like Aube. Not sure why but I never got into FF's Pro-R but it has so much love (I use the rest of their apps but for me that app didn't deliver).
    @Stuntman_mike
I'd love to own a NightSky at some point but I most likely won't. Glad to hear you're sensing similarities with it.

🙌 I’m 100% Dan, except I don’t have the balls to say it. I usually think I’m the only one who doesn’t know what the f**k they’re talking about.

    As for Cascade, definitely lush.
I think I’m going to try this as my go-to reverb. It’s very versatile so probably worth learning it right. Can be a very subtle natural ambience or super long and obvious.
    Agree with @Svetlovska here:

‘Softer’ is the way I’d put it, and somehow more integrated with the sounds affected, rather than being the ambience they sit in, if that makes any sense.

Sometimes reverbs sound a bit harsh and detached, this one doesn’t.
Another feature I love is the implementation of the Mod, which is something that I can’t really tell in other reverbs until it’s too much, here there is more control over it.
