Hey man. Hate to bother you but can you please check MIDI triggering patterns? For me it’s hit and miss. Sometimes Beat scholar listens to my MIDI note pattern change, sometimes it disregards it.

Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a bug or something? I tried it in 3 DAW and same result. I cannot get it to change patterns so please let me know how to do it if you can please. Thank you for your videos

  • Ok here’s what it is: Modalics has the menu trigger at C3,C#3 when it’s C4, c#4 that’s triggering so the menu label is incorrect

Please correct me if I’m wrong @eyalamir

It’s not a bug, just an incorrect label , please check if anyone has it to make sure I’m not keying wrong an octave

The notation of the octave number (C3/C4) is actually different between hosts and keyboards. You can google the differences between the "Yamaha Middle C" and the Roland one.
We probably need to offer an option to show both modes, as we can never know which system the specific DAW is using.

But anyway a difference of the octave numbering between different programs/plugins/keyboards is unfortunately common...

Yea, it would’ve been very helpful to have that distinguished. I spent at least an hour or two , just trying to figure this out (that was just today, total it’s been more), so now that I know I’m surprised no one else had any clue what I was talking about

Also, while I have your attention, can you consider doing a patch storage or having like a user upload for patterns? I like to use your presets and I use your randomization based on that, but I want to have more variation; and I need some inspiration from other drummers for some more
