That's great news, good find! 🤩
Strumming! Try that with you’re MPE hardware.
Linnstrument has a split layout strum function.
See this (7 year old, 2016) video at 6m18s
Not in the beta but looks cool! Will this be an additional IAP or come with the Pro unlock?
Sure it is !
Oh cool! Any ETA on the update?
Hugely welcome upgrade thanks!!!
Seems very comprehensive too... looking forward to it.
How do you get a beta version?
It is already in the current beta 5964.1.1.
You just have to activate it in the performance window.
I think you should ask to moForte in private message.
No freaking way this will completely change how I use it for midi out or playing
When is now?
Don’t think I’m in the beta anymore, I’ll have to shoot them a message and see. This is definitely a super cool update though
Wow!
Update came out, strumming is cool! BUT the update ruined all my AU presets in Loopy Pro, they are all changed to Naada instruments I dont even have… @moForte
Oh man I’ll have to check and see how my presets are in AUM. I saw the update and was happy it got a strumming mode though. Haven’t tried it yet but seems fun.
Haven’t been able to figure out the strumming mode yet. Will have to watch an instructional video as soon as any come out.
Do you mean setting up or in general? It took me a minute to even find where to set it up lol
@NeuM , from the menu, Performance Settings / Strum / Enable and then set up your chords.
I mean, I think I get it (and I found the hidden strumming menu)... but instead of wasting time trying to figure it out I'll wait for a tutorial.
Yes, I did find that. Why hide that menu? Switching to strumming should be a button on the main UI. This needs to be simpler and faster for both production and performance.
@NeuM , I do know what you mean but once you know where it is it’s not too many clicks away. Just my view 😊
It needs to be as easy as selecting the "Growl Enable" button on the GeoTenorSax. I'm serious. Menu diving is not good for productivity or performance.
@NeuM just to clarify, once set up and saved with the preset it will show all the time.
Alternatively you can add a ‘Strum Enable’ button to the control surface which will toggle the strum area on and off I.e. visible and not visible. Apologies if I’m not adding any value to the discussion 🤨
I agree with you. I opened the app after the update fully expecting to see something right away on the main UI, not 3/4 clicks away. Sure it’s not horrible but this will probably be a bug feature, especially for midi, so I’d like to eventually see a way to make it more accessible - if possible.
Would also like a tutorial or some documentation. Have you found anything yet?
@HotStrange , if you click on the ? On the right of the control surface when the Strum panel is selected you get help associated with Strumming as per screenshot. I agree it’s a bit buried !
I was hoping someone was going to share about the recent update. I haven’t tried it yet but the update details really sound promising.
Thanks! I’m sure Doug or someone will do a video on it soon as well. I’m glad there’s at least something there. Definitely an improvement for the app though, I was hoping it would happen eventually.
To be clear I mean save state presets in the AU in Loopy Pro. Not internal presets. I guess new update have messed with the ordering of internal presets, which affects AU save state presets. The sounds have changed (to Naada instruments I don’t own, as mentioned) but the states are otherwise the same (window sizes etc.)
Yes the numbering will have changed @Icoustik , there are e.g. new Strumming presets and new Naada ones so anything after these will have changed.
