What the heck is this?
I bought the Halion synth, but can’t download it.
I have more than 100GB free space, internet connection is OK.
M1 Pro 11”, ios17.2
Ipad restart doesn’t help.
@LFS , any idea?
Look at the few posts above yours. LFS explains how to fix it.
Good to know , Lars.. Thanks. I do love having my sounds built into the app .
Oh, I didn’t notice the hint. Thanks!
Instead of restarting I switched to my wifi range extender which also helped.
The new 3.6 version works perfectly with SWAM alto sax for me, loads of automation, no glitches
As much as I love Cubasis I really couldn’t care less about these new instruments - I already have plenty.
Biggest issue for me remains the clunky piano roll editor that still requires two hands and is far from ideal for left-handers. That and ongoing lack of tempo track
Perfect! Good to know you're good to go...
Enjoy your new instrument!
Best,
Lars
This is great news, @BillS!! Thanks for sharing, Lars
Hi @TimRussell
Please let us have more details about your MIDI editor issues.
Thanks
Lars
If I have Cubasis 2, is there a way to upgrade it to 3? I can't find it in the in-app purchases. I'm guessing I can't upgrade?
Hi @ellison
Thanks for your message.
It is not possible to upgrade from Cubasis 2 to Cubasis 3. But it is possible to freely transfer your existing Cubasis instruments and effects plug-in in-app purchase between both app versions.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Lars
Apologies Lars. Just went in to check it now and it must have been some time since I used it as I now find I don’t have to keep the left hand button held down. When did this update happen?!
Thank you, 🫶 it’s time for an update.
@LFS
All 3.6 instrument packs purchased as I promised back in Nov 2021
Doing my small part to help support the small team and perhaps contribute towards development of all our popular requests.
Happy Holidays and hope the team gets some rest.
The previous problem of having to search the notes when opening the midi editor seems fixed.
Thank you @LFS
So it's not an issue anymore?
Best,
Lars
Hi @ecou
Great to know, Thanks!
Currently, how much do the complete iap’s cost in dollars? Or better yet, would someone please point me in the direction of a complete list if that exists? Sorry if I am missing it elsewhere. Thank you!
Looks like a great update, thanks Lars & team.
Won't buy the iaps for now as I hardly use the iPad for music making these days (only desktop, mainly Ableton and sometimes Cubase) but next time I'll be on holiday I'll play with it for sure.
Happy festivities to all of you.
That's a nice setup you have there! As a workaround for finding your projects might I suggest the IOS Files app. Navigate to the On My Ipad location, Cubasis 3 folder. From there you can search by keyword, sort by Nmae, date, etc. Curiously clicking on the project does not open it in Cubasis, it merely imports a copy into to the Mediabay. But at least you have a method of searcing/locating your projects which could then be sorted by name within Cubasis to locate them.
Thanks for weighing in. You guys killed the update sounds wise and I hope some of the feature requests can get touched in the near future, but everyone deserves a holiday break
Didn’t know you were a cubasis guy @LinearLineman. It’s been hard for me to switch to anything else. I’ve tried multiple other DAWs and always end up hack in Cubasis. I’ve been using it for 7-8 years now so that’s probably part of the reason. I also think the workflow is the best on iOS (for me preference).
are you iPad only? Can’t tell if that’s a monitor for desktop or just you sending the hdmi out to a bigger screen haha
yeah the monitor looks nice
Best thing is to look in the Cubasis shop inside the app. That will give you the exact price for your region
Thanks, @Jamie_Mallender. Don’t have it yet. Just found out about the light trial version. Will check it out. I appreciate the helpful response.
all three together are around 35 €, might be a little less in $
edit: no, seems to be the same $14.99 for Halion and $9.99 each for the other two (the new ones)
more info on the older iaps to be found in the sales thread (yesterday)
No disrespect to your team but you should give some serious thought to offering Matt Borstel of Blip a job. The guy’s a wizard in this game.
Really happy with this update, and I’m always happy to support the team (and future development) by buying these instruments. I guess an update which includes IAP’s ensures more of an income stream for the product than a free feature update, which is fine with me. I also use Cubase 13 Pro as my main DAW, having been here since Pro 24 on the Atari ST. So Cubasis, while still missing some key features (variaudio please ), is still a super cool compositional tool.
Even though I have a zillion plugins, I’ve been playing with the new instruments all day and really enjoying them and they will definitely be part of my next creative endeavours.
Thanks Lars + team!
I just want to extend my thanks to team @LFS for getting the HALion sounds in this update along with everything else. I think this gives CB3 a better sound palate than any iOS DAW. I appreciate your efforts elevating CB3 to better and better places. Have a good Christmas!
