Ooo looks like I'll absolutely grab the Taurus Mega Octovizer! Heard good things but couldn't justify full price to see if it suits my needs...

    I love it!

Agreed, Taurus is my favorite effect plugin from them. Very much reminds me of my old Whammy pedal.

Valkure felt kind of redundant next to Taurus.

Haven’t gotten much out of Roxsyn - I’d rather use MIDI Guitar routed to an actual synth plugin.

Aries is great if you need a rotary amp. It’s my favorite rotary.

Gemini hasn’t gotten much use from me but gets good results when used.

@WTK posted this great lil comparison of Kauldron/MaggieII features....

The conclusion was "buy them both" but my money tree was cut down to prevent me from hanging myself from it.

@sfm has a 10+ video tutorial on Magellan II.
a great place to learn all about it's features and there's a lot!

I’ve heard that MIDI Guitar struggles when it comes to keeping up with the tracking of the notes played, dynamics, and mainly chords. You share in the sentiment? And is MIDI Guitar 2 decent enough or should I wait on the release of 3?

  • Ah, and I’ve already bought KingB for a full price a month ago…. I like it tho, so can’t complain

I’ve actually been running the beta for MIDI Guitar 3 instead of 2 and find it very responsive and very to dial into something that feels good to play. I’ve preferred it to MG2.

King B is a lot of fun with Fugue since it has the three different midi inputs for the high, low, and pedal ranges.

Not only that ... thought I was set with Galileo 2 + the Rotary plugin but this deal was too good to skip, as it runs on MacOS too 😃

  • King B and Trooper get a lot of use from me.

  • The more I hear Rotary, the more I want it. King B and Tonestack Pro get a lot of Love...

  • I emailed Audio Modeling as I’d not seen it mentioned anywhere and they confirmed that the current price of Variflute was a promotional price but that they’d not set a specific end date for the promotion yet. Make of that what you will. Cheers.

There’s a stripped down version of Rotary in Tonestack Pro I use a lot.
(Actually, once you combine it with an amp/cab, it probably comes pretty dern close to the big brother 🤫)

I really should do the same.

I have almost all of these except for BKing. Is it better than Hammond B-3X?

  • Whenever Yonac sales hit, I always just assume everyone has it already cause it’s never talked about but Steel Guitar Pro is fannnnntastic! Even if you’re not “playing” it with the touchscreen, it’s a great guitar voice to feed midi notes, strumming, even chords! And it’s not only lapsteels, there’s all kindsa different 6 strings and shtuff. Even at full price it’s so worth it

Great point. If you need an electric guitar sound this is probably all you need (probably not as geared towards something like metal). I’ve never even considered anything else for a guitar instrument plugin to sequence.

  • Steal Guitar Pro is a Steal!

Quick question… If I have Galileo 2 is King B much of an Upgrade? Worth having both organs?

No one on iOS can sound closer to the real B3 than the B3x because Hammond himself was involved in it's creation and put his name to it. It's the reference.
I have both, it's very different in voicing of leslie, like to have two very different cabs with different layout, materials and schematics. B3x sounds more creamy, bread and butter, KingB more pronounced in high spectrum, more edgy. I like both by the mood. Most important that spinning leslie effect in KingB is big step above previous gen Yonac organs, as good as in B3x. At 5$ it's a true gift.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, YONAC!

Also, can someone tell me what to expect from Roxsyn? It reads like it turns your guitar performance into synth and not a "synth that sounds like a guitar".

As a non guitar person, does Roxyn make any sense?

Technically, you can run any audio into it to play the synth. It is pretty cool with a guitar, but any pitched sound should work to trigger the synth and have it play the same note/notes of whatever patch. It’s a synth but it uses incoming audio to trigger the synth sounds. It’s hard to say really. If you want to use audio to trigger a synthesizer that might be worth it.

  • Kaspar is a beast too, 8 layers, each with 3 OSCILLATORS, so 24 Oscillators can make some crazy sounds.

Drum bros... get Gemeni. I was pushing gateverb for us poor folks, but Gemeni is absolutely worth the 3 bucks you drop.

    Gemini?

Update - oops the plate reverb, my bad.

Yea the videos I’ve heard all sound really nice.

  • Yonac App Buyers… Rember there are free patches for several of the Yonac Synths buried in the forum. Just search the forum with the search bar at the top. ie, “Kaspar presets or patches”

    @Squishy @FizzyLizzy27

I wondered about running a sequence/midi file to it. Do either of you have Riffler or Riffler flow? If so- how does it sound when you run that midi to Steel Guitar pro?

I really don't like the guitar slide thing and can't see myself dragging a slider around.

If yall don't have Riffler to try it on, I can post a midi file from Riffler..

Riffler flow + steel guitar pro KICKS ASS! Especially when ya spice it up with Tonestack

It also works well with 4pockets stuff. I don’t have STRUMMER, but the chords and strumming in Progressions works great. And if you wanna get nutty, that Euclidean sequencer one too haha

  • Trust ya. Bought.

Steel guitar pro is pretty great, even more so for two dollars. it has several types of guitars too. You will not regret spending two dollars on steel guitar Pro.

Nope. But it's over $120 cheaper.

    Regarding MaggieII/ Kauldron:

my Mozart,Aphex Twin, RZA, Heinbach amalgamated GOD of Music suggested that Kauldron was best, but I should sample Kauldron into the Maggie sequencer. Thus mirroring @WTK s "bolth" response.

@WTK might actually be a GOD
