4 track live band loop
hello, i am a total beginner with LP. so far i am doing great. I can loop a track, and play it back whenever i want. but, there is more to want: I would like to record a tune played by my 4 piece Irish trad band, with 4 different tracks, 1 for each player separate and simultaneously and then start looping the combined foursome at the press of a button when 2 of us start dancing... how can i do this? Thanks so much!

Turn on simultaneous recording in clip settings to allow recording multiple clips at once. You will need a hardware input for each input and you will want each input to go to a different color. I suggest creating a button that starts/stops the recording. In the button, each clip needs its own record action.
Thank you! I believe I have done all that already, but i'll go and double check.. the start/ stop button is already there and so are volume sliders for each track. all working fine.At the moment when i start, the first track gets recorded and then, after a circle, the content of that track gets recorded into no2, and then into no 3. Probably a minor setting that needs changing..(?)
Please post a screenshot of how you have the recording widget set up and of the settings in the global clip settings.
@Lefthandluke : To simultaneous record, make sure the option is on:
Then set up a button to simultaneously trigger 4 record actions. Tap on the dot to the left of an action to set it to “With Last”.
The actions will look something like:

I will soon, thank you! First we must entertain a rugby club tomorrow..:)
thank you so much!
One other thing. Turn Auto Count Out off if you are using the App Store version and simultaneously recording loops before the tempo has been set.
all is good now and working fine..:) I scrapped the first one and made a new one from "the floor up". Now it records all three and plays them together...
This is one of my favorite examples of Loopy Pro usage. It's simplicity to accomplish any need on a base level (I adore the traditional tunes and shanties people have produced with loopy on YouTube)
I've been neck deep in Loopy for a couple of years and am constantly deconstructing and rebuilding a beastly template for what my brain's been desiring for years (...obsessively? It does stairways that lead to nowhere and doors that open to three-story drops...)
It's ease of 'what do you need' for incorporation into an almost fully realized project, using it as the malleable glue, is just beautiful
All that said, if you can post a performance utilizing loopy (doesn't need to be shown in vid. Just the knowledge is enough lol), I'd be grateful!
While I don't comment most of the time, I love watching/hearing what members of the forum are able to melodically paint!!
