[BAM] Record MIDI while playing the instrument?
Hello everybody,
I picked BAM again but I got stuck at simply attempting to open an audio-unit and play its keyboard to record some MIDI. It seems that no MIDI Output from the AUv3 is being intercepted by BAM.
I follow these steps:
- open BAM
- add DRC Synthesizer as AudioUnit on Track 1.
- tap ARM and select Track1 (device-track Trigger/Target is with default settings)
- tap global REC button
- open DRC & play few notes on its keyboard (normal piano, or the chords keyboard)
- nothing gets recorded; the track doesn’t receive the notes that it is actually playing
What am I doing wrong?
I couldn’t find settings to help.
If I use the embedded keyboard by tapping KBD in BAM the track records normally.
I also tried spinning another DRC on track2 (with volume: 0) and set track1 to receive MIDI from it; but still no luck.
It’s the same with other AU instruments.
