I'm really not a fan of all the wasted space in these stomp box interfaces. There's so much vertical space wasted that I have to resize the window every. single. time. to be able to use the thing at all. There's only four tiny controls lost in a vast window that's all useless eye candy other than the pedal itself (which does look nice). Even after resizing the window I had a hell of a time hitting that little bitty S / C switch.

I'm generally not one to complain about UIs, but that's the last one I'm buying. It's just too annoying.

    Sounds great though.

I'd have to agree, but to be honest I think these are somewhere in the middle. There are more than a few apps nothing more than a few sliders or dials in the same space. What I'm not a fan of is a separate app for every stomp.

We discuss and consider all the feedback we are receiving with our team. We will try to make it a better experience for sure.
    Thanks.

I've only played with Superior Drive a little and love the sounds! Can't wait to give this a run later today!

I haven't used as auv3 yet (only standalone, and only Superior Drive so far) - but I do agree that, while the aesthetics are eye catching, it IS indeed wasted space

@ArteraDSP could there be an option for a mini-mode or something along those lines be added at a later date?

We are thinking on a decent solution and open to suggestions.

Yep, all good. I'm just one person, you know the market better than I for sure. Can't please everyone etc etc. I'm a fan regardless.

  • +1 for a compact UI without background. Just a pedal please!

I like it as it is,even though,i'd like a single plugin with all pedals in it (via IAP'S)😉.

Perhaps they could offer a “compact view” which would forgo the skeuomorphic UI in favor of a simpler set of sliders/knobs/etc.

  • Blue mode is great for breakup tone thank you @ArteraDSP

Another vote for pedal UI only for solo pedals.

And another vote for Artera GigRig with all pedals inside. Then the background would also make sense :)

  • I'm fine with the separate pedals. I like to see everything available to me in the plugin list in the host, rather than having to remember which pedals are buried in the various larger apps.

For instance, ToneStack has some individual FX that I like a lot but rarely use just because I can't be bothered with remembering they're there, opening that interface, clearing out a preset that has other stuff I don't want, menu diving to find what I do, and finally loading it.

When I want a distortion in front of an amp, I like only needing to remember either the approximate name or who makes it. Type a couple of letters into the search, and I'm there in a few seconds.

Also, it's a lot easier to enable / disable individual plugins in both AUM and Loopy Pro if they're each in their own slot in the UI.

I also own Tonestack and all the pedals included, but I guess I’m the opposite. It’s hard for me to rationalize these single pedal purchases knowing I have this massive umbrella app with so many effects and amps already.

I have to agree with you. I also prefer to see all different fx as separate auv3s in AUM. It definitely is easier to enable/disable, adjust and midi assign them like that.

  • Blue Mode, On vs OFF with MJM 800 inside Gigfast Lite. Blue Mode and Gigfast Lite are available in AppStore.

sounds rad! So I take it these three pedals released recently aren’t included in Gigfast lite in its selection of effects? (Haven’t had a chance to install it and take it for a spin yet)

These pedals are not included inside GigFast Lite, it has a conventional component modeled OCD type overdrive built in. Maybe we can change it to a parametric one in the future.

  • Ah so the parametric stuff is new to the releases and not featured in Gigfast? Good to know thanks 🤙

No, all GigFast built in amps are parametric models, pre and post fx section is regular DSP.

  • Gotcha, thanks for clarifying!
