GarageBand in iPadOS 26 is Amazing!
I downloaded the iPadOS 26 Developer Beta to see if any of the massive changes and new features Apple announced at WWDC affect music production on iPad.
Vastly improved multitasking, an iPadOS version of Core Audio and macOS style menus and controls were some of the pleasant surprises I found.

Also you should use Sample Crate to preview your samples that you want to drag to garageband

I haven’t been following things recently, but I’m very surprised to hear that Mac style menus were missed by iOS users, seriously?
Biggest news is in the comment section of the video where someone asked if the iPad sees multiple interfaces and Patrick graciously tested and confirmed you can. Simultaneously using them isn’t there but it’s a great start. Hopefully Ricky Tinez can oversee that option.

Just tried, GB froze after displaying the waveform on the timeline
It’s super consistent, everytime i drag and drop a sample, the ui gets no responsive. Like there was an invisible square over the screen that prevents you of tapping anything. The app still works tho if you drag while playing it continues to play normally
