Synths with some degree of physical modelling and an extensive mod matrix?

Not the “real instrument” style of physical modelling, in other words.

Rings FX is a PM-synth and has a mod-matrix, don't know if it's an extensive one, but maybe worth a look:

Tera Pro with BrainZ and RingZ IAPs. It also has extensive and flexible modulation. It also has a Karplus module which can be fed with pretty much anything including a range of different noise signals. And then the routing capabilities are huge, so you can start to feed these modules into each other, feed them back on themselves. The possibiltiies are almost endless.
Tera Pro does things its own way but with a bit of work, the system makes sense and this synth is capable of amazing sounds.
