au apps for sampling directly from youtube
are there any AU apps that allow you to open youtube in something like AUM and sample audio? I had one , but seems to not work anymore.

Hi. This thread might be the most recent discussion on the subject. You could also try using iOS Screen Record to capture the stream, extract the audio, then sample it. Not very spontaneous, though.
I use Audio Hijack, it's really easy, and the demo times out after 10 minutes, whcih is plenty of time for grabbing some samples etc if that';s what you want to do.
Oh whoops I misread. This is a separate app. But it' super easy to grab and save chunks of audio.
Screen record and Koala
I always do it on desktop using yt-dlp, but although not what you’re asking for there’s great fun to be had with internet radio, for instance beepstreet’s radio unit, which is au.
I think all these apps that allowed sampling from yt were nuked some years ago, cause we can’t have nice things
Tube AU is working perfectly now
Can it only sample songs on YouTube? The screen shots on the App Store seem to indicate you can only search music.

Yes it can sample any videos you want on YT
How are you getting this to work?
Which iPadOS are you running? Which AUv3 host are you using?
It crashes for me in every host I’ve tried.
I believe it’s a different, albeit more expensive app now.
