Macbook with Logic Pro - Ipad with Loopy Pro
It just gives You so many possible variations, while having PC's, Macs, Ipads. Connected just by Audio cable from Mac headphone out to Focusrite 4i4 input (3+4). And I can use mic also..
Main strength in addition to portability is: Can use all the Logic plugins and IPad plugins in combo.
And record to scenes directly or by recording first in Logic and then play with realtime effects to Loopy Pro scene.. Or prepare full scene e.g. intro in Logic and then bring it to LP. I do it because the scene triggering in LP is something else.. You can check in my videos of LP.
It is so easy even the mastering with my template in LP - used in video (or I can use mastering in Logic while bringing material to LP or use mastering assistant or Chroma Glow)
The full playlist will include some more variations.
Upcoming:
The next step from this by adding another iPad, MPC and SP404 to the setup - losing the portability feature but able to bring my material from different sources.
Also I will investigate Loopy Pro Liveset and instrument performance template to record digitally to Macbook.
Comments
btw - I also published some LP video in MPC forum, while planning to preset the workflow from MPC to LP Song Page of my template. I suspect it will be either ignored or removed.. I don't understand why we should stay behind one gadget or App or DAW - while with combinations, you can find so many different inspiring options? Or what do you think?
I think generally ‘less is more’. Which is something I have to remind myself way too often. The more you add to it, the less can you target a specific interest group - which I understand is the goal.
I agree - but limited or locked mind is not an artist mind (or maybe I'm narrow minded myself).. But of course it's all about what you can achieve with it: personal joy, entertain audience, create songs, accomplish musical atmospheres etc.. Or in many cases it can prevent if there is a deep learning curve to use different gadgets and apps..
I agree, with myself
IMO limitations usually fuel creativity. Options (especially too many) are mainly a distraction.
