Animoog IAP's

Any Favorites? I think I may buy a couple of the IAP's. Is there a bundle, or a price for all the extra IAP presets? I don't have my ipad at the moment to look.

  • There is no bundle unfortunately. I would recommend the Richard Devine pack. The Metallic and Acoustic expansion packs are great, too.

  • Cool, thanks for the recommendation @CalCutta!

  • Get the Minimoog pack, it has plenty of good sounds for all purposes.

  • I really like the Grateful Dead pack. It has a wide variety of timbres that are usable for traditional sounds and more out-there sounds.

  • +1 on the Grateful Dead pack if you like 'out there' sounds. Great concept for a bit of sound design too, with all of the sounds generated from a gig in 1968.

  • I like the R.Devine pack...some really interesting sounds...

Reoccurring problem with the 2 packs I got, is they keep disappearing, or "missing", so I have to go store and re-download purchases...pain in the neck:(

    Anybody experiences that?

  • I really like them all but the minimoog and monstermoog get the most use from me. The GD pack has some nice percussion stuff too however.

  • That happens for me when the app is updated.

I DO! not seeing this issue mentionned nearly drove me nuts thinking i must be the only one experiencing it (well that and my laziness to start a thread about it..) I have ALL the IAP packs, ALL timbres disappear everytime i close and open the app in the next days... This only happens on the ipad version, not on the iphone one though.. Anybody tried to delete/reinstall the app to see if the problem goes away? (i dont have a computer for a while and dont want to lose my custom presets myself)

also, i got the BASE 'limited edition' pack back when it was released, the timbres of the latter never actually get restored.. now i know i must have them stashed away somewhere, but then Moog have also screwed with the folder structure of the app making me wonder if restoring old / adding new timbres is still at all possible...

anyone able to shed some light on this...? Thx.

  • This is good information on the IAPs disappearing. I've not purchased any yet, but have been looking at the Model D and Richard Devine packs for a bit. After you restore your purchases, do your customs patches using sounds from the IAPs reappear as normal? I can deal with the annoyance of restoring my purchased sounds, but not if I'd have to reprogram my patches because of a SNAFU.

Also...I've just gotta say that I think it's a little poor on Moog for not offering discounts on the IAPs like they did last year. Even a dollar or two would have gotten an impulse buy from me on principle, as I've forced myself to be limited to sales, with a few exceptions. Not a dealbreaker, just a bit of disappointment.

Your custom patches DO NOT disappear, it's only waves or timbers that disappear...at least in my case.

Since I am new to iOS, I don't dare to fiddle too much in the system...
