Loading Drum Loops into BM2
Greetings All, I'm just starting out with BM2, it seems pretty sweet so far. I'm looking for help in loading 3rd party drum loops in a way that the drum loop starts when I engage the record button. Right now I'm using Latin Drum Machine via IAA. But all I can figure out to do is play the Latin Drum Machine, then try to hit the record button on the one beat so they synch. There must be a way to load loops so I press record, the loop starts with it. So like loading the loop into the track ala Ableton. Thanks A lot

Yep! There are ways! :-) You can use the 'General Pasteboard' (GP) or Dropbox. I mainly use GP via Audioshare. In BM2 you will have to go to Sharing then pasteboard and then Paste iOS to BM2.
1 of the best (but not the only) ways to bring it into your project would be via a Audio track. Create an Audio track, and in the sequence view press the + sign on that track. Then click import sample and go to the folder where you saved the loop.
Hope that has helped!
Greetings
Or you can import loops and paste into the drum machine pads
Thanks Guys! The more I use this, the more I'm diggin it. I snagged Audioshare, looks great. I was able to load loops from apps with the pasteboard function, though AfroLatin Drum Machine is stumping me. It's AB and IAA compatible, but has no pasteboard function. I dug around but can't find the actual loop files themselves. I'll write the dev and ask him about it. Any idea how to load loops with no pasteboard function? Thanks Again
It's kinda complicated how to import and paste files in BM2. I haven't used in a while so I can't remember - but if u maybe google how to import user loops into BM you'll find your answer. I think there may be youtube videos explaining and showing the process
If you can't export a loop from AfroLatin, the next best would be to record into Audioshare via AB or IAA. You can loop the file in Audioshare to make sure it is correct. Then trim your loop to your desired length, and follows my previous guide.
I use BM2 regularly..
I don't have AfroLatin to see its functions.
Added: I'm downloading the Lite version to see if I can spot anything...
More added: downloaded! can't see any other way to do it. Lite version doesn't come with AB/IAA. So you'll have to take it from here!
And more: in fact you could cut out the middle man (AS) for this (as you won't be using the pasteboard) and record straight into BM2 via AB or IAA.. BM2 has a wave editor also.
There are many ways to get what you need done!
@Casine You're off to a good start and searching within the forum will turn up all sorts of resources/ideas. I'm jealous however that you managed to find AS so early in the process. It is a seriously useful Swiss army knife
Thanks Again Guys, I realized that recording into BM2 and grabbing and filing the drum loop is not hard to do, then I've got it. Small price to pay for an amazing rythym section on call. I appreciate the guidance : )
