record > overdub > play
I'm setting a button with the intention to get:
record > overdub > play
This is what I setup: Toggle > Hold to record selected clip
And, in the preferences I selected:
overdub after recording
no quantization or sync on any possible option
I'm meeting two issues:
the first one is that to get into play I have to press one more time than expected, this is the behaviour:
1st press=record
2nd press=overdub
3rd press=overdub (once again, I would expect play here)
4th press=play (finally)
what do you suggest me to check to have play at the 3rd press?
Also, when I keep overdubbing on the same clip, the attack of the loop is significantly smoothed, where do I find the variables to tweak how much and for how long?
Thank you!
Comments
Can you zip and upload your project?
Can you screen record a demonstration of the attack getting smoothed and link to it?
here is the project
I'll be recording an example later today
is audio going to be recorded even if I'm using an external sound card?
It should
Move your record action to the press section rather than the toggle section and it will do what you want.
that was it!
thank you so much
