I too cannot get the ‘convert image to wavetable’ to work. I don’t use iCloud, I tried to select an image from my library but no luck.
Do you get an error message?
A couple of things:
i know but that makes different sound than true fm (cross) modulation - true frequency modulation can go into much more extreme terrirory and thaťs exscrly what inlike :-)
here compare between phase and frequency mod ..

brw damn .. every time i go back to Drambo i again realise how amazing app is it :-))
Yes: ‘Error. Failed to save wavetable’.
I use Apematrix.
Ok, I released a new build version addressing all the issues and recommendations. This version,
Updates the presets manager
Let’s you save your image wavetables and user presets to the local documents folder if iCloud is not available
Thanks, it was when loading images from local storage, that might be why!
This reminds me a bit of the Scythe wave table synth that sadly is no longer on the App Store. I let my iPad delete apps to make room for an update only to realize it was gone forever. I think this looks like a worthy replacement! Too late to join the beta but I’ll definitely be watching for more previews.

Cem, proud of you brother. This is awesome
Testflight is full.
hi, after the current testflight update Nikaya still does not show up in the auv3 list in hosts. rebooting does not help. looks like i am the only one with that issue?
Same. iOS 15.2 iPad 9th gen.
It’s shows up in AUM no problem on my iPad Pro. I decided to try it out on my ‘ancient’ iPhone 6s. It does not show up as auv3 in AUM on the phone. (Runs great standalone on the old device tho, bravo!)
Almost all of the recommendations… The filter/envelope controls are still orange. 🧐
lol yeah, I’ll stick with it, they have their own section anyways, I don’t think it will be confusing.
and how about the parameter exp thing in drambo?;)
@cem_olcay
They are already exposed? I’m not familiar with drambo but here are the AUM and Loopy screenshots.
Looking good so far. It would be cool if it could be good if a local folder on the iPad can be referenced, similar to how Koala and Patterning allow this for samples. I have thousands of wavetables for use in Drambo, etc.
I think it’s an issue with Drambo. There’s a few auv3 apps that won’t map. It has been reported to @giku_beepstreet
It’s not that the parameters aren’t exposed. Yours are exposed just fine.
Anyone care to test AUv3 automation with GRII or LogicPro for iPad? (The beta is full so I can't...).
At least GRII reports when a plug-in doesn't properly support touch & release events, Logic on the other hand requires them in order to be able to record automation using the plug-in UI.
I would be interested in testing this if the FM was done between the wave-table oscillators, now it looks more like two separate oscillators are used for FM. Blofeld is one of the few apps that does true wave-table FM, the other one is Butter Synth.
Ok it was my fault, the AUv3 deployment target was left for iOS 17.5+
It should show up now, I made it iOS 12+ as usual, sorry
The new version is up!
Yes, I think it's the true wavetable FM, but you can be the judge, sent you an invitation for the beta
I don't know about the touch & release events you mentioned, never heard of them tbh, let me look into this.
Thanks!
I’ll go thru the app and send some feedback and some additional info via e-mail when I’m back home…
Cheers!
Yup yup, shows as auv3 in AUM now 👍
nice, working now!
@cem_olcay: looks like the wavtable icloud folder does not recognize sub folders, is that right?
feels like the wavetable browser could also behave like the preset browser - with arrows and last used page memory
edit: and also with the ability to browse wavetables while testing them with midi input
and how about enabling wave scrubbing also for x and y independently
one tab scrubbing x/y together
next tab just x
another tab just y
final tab scrubbing off
It does, if the subdirectory contains the single-cycle wavefiles.
There are two types of import:
Both inside the iCloud/Nikaya/Wavetables directory.
Nope, overkill
Just use the Wave knobs instead.
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback!
