Layer upon layer of Ravenscroft, Pure Piano, and CMP Grand along with Korg Module, Riffler Flow, miniOrchestra, iFretless Bass, vocal samples from Blocs Wave, and several others that I forgot to document. It helps to close your eyes and chant "Ommmm" when you hear the deep piano chords. When I posted this I discovered that SoundCloud doesn't like file names with only 2 letters, so I had to change it to Ommmm.

This was such a sublime listening experience, mate.
Love this.
Hi JIm. Thanks for listening. What's up with this weather? I moved all of our patio furniture out a week ago in anticipation of a nice long Memorial Day weekend. Fortunately, I didn't turn off the furnace yet. I might write a song called 'A Year Without Summer'. Have a nice long weekend!
Lovely…
If, direct translation of 'om' from Swedish. 'Om inte om fanns' is a common saying that translates horribly to: if there was no if, or something like that. Sounds so much better in Swedish, it's most often the other way around.
Anyway, sorry about the rambling - nice song, as always my man.
(there's an unusually cold start of the summer here as well)
@Squishy @Pxlhg "If there was no if". That's a great title for a song! No apology necessary for rambling. That's all I ever do. Younger people probably take all of this technology for granted. I am still amazed that I created some music on a device no bigger than a pad of paper, then I was able to share it with another musician 4400 miles away instantly. Things are moving fast. Maybe too fast? Anyway, now I'm rambling... again. Thanks for listening my friends. Much appreciated!
I swear, this weather sucks. 😂 Hope your weekend isn't long and arduous, mate. Hopefully things will warm up again soon. 🙏
Very interesting piece, @Paulieworld. You really are a master at assembling sounds together in cool ways. Wish ya’ll could send some of that cooler weather down to the Carolinas. It’s getting too hot for me already (driving a car with no AC).
Hi Dav, I wish I could box it up and send you some. However, it will probably be in the 90s by next week. Chicago is funny that way. I also drive a car without AC. It has it, but I prefer to just roll down the windows and drive fast. Same with our home. We have AC, but prefer multiple fans in every room. We call them our fan club.
Getting back to music... I'm trying something completely different. Good old fashioned composing... with actual notes. I don't use any keyboards or external controllers so that makes it a little tricky and time consuming. I love to sit outside with my iPad on my lap and poke away at it, and the time seems to fly by.
Thanks for listening and commenting. Have a great Memorial Day and stay cool!

@AndyHoneybone Hi Andy! Thanks for listening to my crazy music. I’m really buzzed right now. Me and my honey bunny had a great lunch at one of our fave restaurants, and I just knocked over my drink. No problem. I have more in the fridge. I’m sitting on my patio digging stuff. I wish you peace and love.
Nice sound; very relaxing; what recording workflow did you use for this?
This was the goods feels like you had something on your mind.
lol, your text sounds like a lasagne recipe. lol, Paul, you eat too well!
I really liked this track at 3AM. It sounds like a supplication. Well done, bro.
Hi Ninja,
This started out as something entirely different. I was trying to simulate a song by Ravel called Le Gibet. After a short time I came to realize why he is Ravel and I’m just a clown with an iPad. I began with a short pattern created in Piano Motifs by @azul3D_Apps. I think it’s the best app I’ve ever purchased. I would have gladly paid much more for it, but don’t tell Fernando I said that. If you don’t already have it, it’s a definite “must have”. He’s a genius.
It wasn’t developing as well as I wanted so I overlaid the whole thing with a piece I did a few years ago. Oddly enough, it was exactly the same length, key, and tempo. Then I just started adding stuff using the MIDI piano roll editor and a few samples from Blocs Wave. I use Cubasis for most everything. Not really a workflow. Just an assortment of random sounds that I thought sounded good together.
Have a great weekend!
I usually try to empty my mind when I’m doing this stuff. Fortunately, that’s very easy for me to do! Thanks for listening.
Mmmmm… lasagna. Costco used to have a great frozen lasagna, but some genius at corporate decided to change the recipe to save money. Now it’s icky and yucky, as Olivia would say. Hope your weekend is full of peace and music.
I really like this one. Could I download and mess it up?
Absolutely! I just enabled downloads… just for you. It’s already pretty messed up, so I am tingling with eager anticipation of an epic discombobulation. Mess it up real good. Be sure to post it here. I love this stuff!
More @Paulieworld magic… definite similarities with cooking… take a mixed bag of ingredients, blend them together in you special way, season with a smattering of effects and voila, another masterpiece 🥘
@Paulieworld, thanks a lot for your kind words 😊. Great work! The deep piano chords can definitely send you into a meditative state.
Here is what I made with it:
Ommm by Brother Thomas and the Eternal Cosmic Truth OrchestraMAXIMUM DESTRUCTION!
Very cool. Sounds like somebody was having fun!
I can picture you with a big old grin on your face.
Is that Brother Thomas in the picture? He looks like king of the castle.
I gotta get me one of those feedback loopers! Do they come in X-Large?
Have a great day and stay cool.
