It took them FAR too long.

  • Thank you! Terrific and helpful!

  • Next up would be full support for 'control surfaces' and some way to map knobs to cycle control (start & end) and scrub the playhead just like on the Mac :)

Maybe it can be done but I've not yet found a way to do this...
(I might grab one of the Launchkey Mk4's soonish for mobile use) .

  • Excellent!

  • Has anyone found a more detailed change log? I’m curious about bug fixes, little features that didn’t make the headlines.

I just love how they mix, match and mess up features from all Logic version into one list :sunglasses:

    Thank you.

  • This is probably the happiest a release note has ever made me haha, this bug made AU instruments borderline unusable for me, thank you apple 🙏🙏🙏

“Resolves an issue where MIDI notes played through AUv3 Software Instruments could get stuck when navigating the timeline.”

There is so much more in the full changelog, including many convenience enhancements.

  • Midi learn at last. I might jump back in.

I was about to post this! This is pretty much the only bug I’ve found in LP which ruins my flow.

  • By the way, the updates for desktop go a bit further:

Well I've just had a stuck note on Fractal Bits. A minor inconvenience compared to some of the other shite I'm wading through with Logic.

Did the note stop when you stopped the track?

  • The undo midi mapping seems to be bugged for me. Is it working for you?

Yes but every time I hit play the note sounded, even if that pattern/part wasn't under the play head.
Stopped it by enabling Logic's keyboard and playing the note in question from there.

Sounds like the bug isn’t fixed then!

Although, I have this problem specifically with twin 3. The FF support have told me they have reproduced the issue and are going to fix it, so maybe fractal bits has the same problem.

  • I’m having an issue with midi learn on auv3 parameters, specifically Koala FX, I can’t seem to map stutter. Only crush, pitch, and comb because they can be accessed via the mini-tile view of the plugin. Am I missing something?

  • Wow @Samu:That Launchkey though!!

  • @Samu that new Launchkey is enticing! The endless encoders, and those faders got me.. wasn’t expecting to have GAS in a Logic Pro update thread lol

  • There’s a white launch key coming out soon.

Can confirm Launchkey MK4 is top shelf quality.

The Launchkey's transport buttons still aren't mappable for some reason (probably because they don't send CC), but I can map Logic's transport controls to the pads at least.

  • Looking good!

  • Anyone still experiencing bugs in Logic Pro (mobile or desktop) here's how to report those bugs to Apple:

I’ve resubmitted. Let’s see if fabfilter or Apple fixes it first 😉

Hopefully Apple so that it’ll fix the same problem with other synths, like Fractal Bits.

Bugger! Do you know if you can change what the transport buttons on the LaunchKey send via the Components software?
