Finally, mix depth as easy as panning left-to-right. SuperSitter succeeds where complex plugins fail by focusing on one thing: moving sounds forward or backward belongs. From up-front presence to warm distance, discover how one brilliantly simple control transforms flat recordings into professionally spaced soundscapes...for less than the price of a cup of coffee!

Instantly Transform Your Mix Depth:

  • Move sounds forward to cut through the mix with clarity and punch
  • Push sounds back to create space and vintage warmth
  • Watch the depth orb grow larger as sounds move forward, smaller as they recede
  • Add professional front-to-back dimension without complex routing

Made for Everyone:

  • Producers: Create front-to-back mix depth as easily as you would pan left-to-right
  • Beatmakers: Push leads forward, pull pads back - instant separation
  • Singer-Songwriters: Make vocals stand out without harsh processing
  • Podcasters: Bring your voice forward while pushing music beds back
  • Beginners: Fix that elusive flat mix with just one simple control
  • Experts: Quickly sketch out your depth mapping for any size project

Professional Features, One-Control Simple:
1. Forward- Brings sounds closer to the listener, adding presence, clarity, and punch. Perfect for vocals, leads, and anything that needs to cut through.
2. Back - Moves sounds into the background, adding warmth, space, and that vintage "sitting back" quality. Ideal for creating separation.
3. Center - Complete transparency when you don't need processing. Your sound passes through untouched.
4. Intelligent Analysis - SuperSitter listens to your audio and automatically adjusts its processing. Bass stays punchy without mud, vocals get presence without harshness, and bright sounds sparkle without becoming shrill.
5. Visual Feedback - The depth orb dynamically changes size, giving you instant visual confirmation of your sound's position. Combined with the clear number readout, you always know exactly where you are.
6. Touch-Perfected - Designed specifically for iPad and iPhone with generous touch areas and floating value display that follow your finger, so it always works great even on the smallest screens.

Technical Excellence:

  • AUv3 Plugin Format for all iOS/iPadOS DAWs that utilize them
  • Real-time intelligent content analysis
  • CPU efficient design means you can use SuperSitter on every track
  • Dynamic transient enhancement for forward movement
  • Spatial processing for natural depth
  • Automatic volume compensation
  • Zero-latency processing
  • Full parameter automation support

Stop fighting with multiple plugins. Download SuperSitter now and hear the difference in seconds! SuperSitter's intelligent one-control design makes professional mix positioning accessible to everyone.

Bonus Quick Start Guide -
1. Start at Center - Load SuperSitter on any track. The depth orb starts centered (neutral position).
2. Listen First - Play your track and ask: "Should this be upfront or in the background?"
3. Drag Forward - For vocals, leads, or anything that needs presence, drag the orb forward. Watch it grow and move closer as your sound moves forward in the mix.
4. Drag Back - For pads, rhythm guitars, or background elements, drag the orb back. See it shrink and move away as your sound moves back in the mix.
5. Fine-Tune - Use the readout for precise positioning. Try 15-25 for gentle presence, 30-50 for dramatic to extreme placement. Subtlety in multiple track positions is key!
6. A/B Compare - Hit bypass to instantly hear the difference. You'll be amazed how much depth one control can add!

  • Pretty cool.

  • This is my favorite thing among all the things and I hope this version of it is as good as I always believe every version of it ever will be.

  • Oh VERY interesting! I'm a sucker for playing with aural space!

  • Yeah, nice, or at least I hope so. Can’t say much from the AppStore demo.

  • So what values get adjusted with an app like this? Volume obv, but what else? Interest piqued!

Sounds like simultaneous widening (creative use of pan, echo, delay) with volume

Like Transit for stock effects 😄

(Edit: pure speculation from a novice with very little evidence. Please correct me if I'm wrong)

  • Coooool 🙏

  • Sound like a very handy plugin. Definitely putting this on my app list for when I get my next gift card.

  • Sounds like this would be great for podcasters who like to work with background music for that radio show host feel.

  • Think I’ll grab this tomorrow and throw it on a track I am working on.

  • Just grabbed it 😎

I'll quote the developer Simon from Facebook:

I actually don't use compression in the plugin at all! There's a lot going on under the hood to make this work as a single control plugin: There's frequency analysis and categorization which informs automated EQ adjustments in real time based on what the track itself is using. There is a per-sample transient detection which allows for natural sounding transient enhancement or softening dependent on the depth positioning you set. There's carefully tuned harmonic enhancement for heavy bass content to allow for forward movement, since low frequencies are long, moving closer to them can reduce the aural effect of the main frequencies, so we add some content back in based exclusively on the original signal's low-end frequency mapping. There is very controlled spatial/comb filtering dependent on position to replicate how sounds move at different distances from our ears. There's also frequency + position dependent stereo width processing and some careful limiting for extreme ranges of the plugin, to ensure stability and maintain musicality across the entire signal range. There's a lot of psychoacoustic techniques at play in regards to how all of these things work with each other, and the goal is to bring about natural sounding spatial depth changes while maintaining the actual character of the track. So, you can use an EQ in front of SuperSitter to alter the character of the track, and then run SuperSitter after it to manipulate its front/back mix depth positioning from there without losing what you did with the EQ in front of it on the chain. All while being really CPU and resource efficient so it can easily be used on every track!

I've only used it briefly, but I'm familiar with the Sit component of his other apps. It doesn't affect volume, rather, it alters the character of the sound.

  • Just listening to the app store demo on my earpods and I can't really hear much of an effect. ? I already have Ambiente; not sure if it could bring anything new. It needs a better demo.

Would this be better on individual tracks or on the master bus?

App Store demo isn’t great for panning, probably some mix down they do when uploaded. I’m gonna try it out. Looks nice!

It’s … subtle. Individual instruments would be is far better example of the effect rather than a mix.

I’m gonna do an 8 out and report back.

  • Super quick this is just literally an unlisted demo of individual parts real quick using a demo preset and a typical 8-out template I use in AUM

Great for space! About 1:35 I start switching back and forth between two channels and you can really tell how much space that’s between them. And that’s considering YouTube’s encoding shenanigans.

With some Proper mixing / EQ, Side/Mide and Stereo Panning, and multiple instruments this would be really useful! Especially for vocals. I’ll spare you all and myself that demo 😉

Thanks, your demo gives more justice to the plugin than the App store promo video.

    No worries!

And quite literally it’s the bare minimum I could make and post quick. 😅

Kind of like videos for EQ on YouTube where the creator says “can’t you hear that?” - I usually think no I never can tell the difference, but once you're the controlling it, It’s really noticeable.

I left out one of the visuals of the instruments I’m switching / panning front to back in the end of the video so the visual perception doesn’t affect someone’s idea of it.

    Worth the $3 - imo 🙏🏽

    Individual tracks.

It is subtle but noticeable. A glue effect, really. Not every effect is hot sauce, sometimes you just need a bay leaf in the soup 😌

  • How does it compare to virtual room pro?

  • I’ve been wanting something like this.

    Great demo @offbrands

    VirtualRoom uses reverb.

VirtualRoom uses the advanced 3DVERB algorithm to render sound with real time room acoustics. Download now and experience a truly immersive listening experience.

This application simulates the acoustics of a room and reproduces the sound signals for the two ears of a virtual listener inside the room. Listening to these signals using headphones gives the impression of being inside the room at the position of the listener. The positions of the sound sources and the listener can be modified in realtime.

There's no use of reverb mentioned in the developer's description of this app:

    Great demo @offbrands

Thanks! It’ll do as they say.

Such a random niche little thing but I totally agree.

  • Here’s a quick little demo. Just using the x-fader in Drambo to modulate some tracks forward and some back. The difference is subtle but clear. I think this will be pretty useful and will probably shine when combined with other techniques like volume and panning. Looking forward to getting more into it.
