End Of Days (Part 2)

I was sort of pissed off when I wrote this. I didn’t actually “write” anything. More like just spewing nonsense. I’m good at that. Have a day.

Comments

  • I can hear the anger in it. I wouldn’t call it nonsense.
It has your signature atmospheric style. It doesn’t “travel” as far as some of your other stuff. Focused, but still a journey. Definitely worth the ride.

  • Both browsers are NOT showing embedded SoundClioud graphics but you can click on the empty space are start the
music. Weird. I hope this is fixed at some point… is the link provided by SoundCloud mal-formed?

It’s a strong contribution to your soundtrack folder, @Paulieworld. It really pulls you in and doesn’t expose any seems
in the assembling of sources I think you employed. Magical.

  • I was wondering when you were gonna post this here. I had already listened this morning from a SC notification.

I like this one even better than the first part. Part 2 sounds like the aftermath to me. People fighting over resources, exploitation, murder. Wait, I forgot, it’s already happening.

Hi Mac, hope all is well. I mostly try not to get caught up in politics, but this time feels quite different. I was going out of my way to include things that just sounded wrong. I think that’s why I called it nonsense. I’m looking forward to the unveiling of your latest project. It has potential for a huge response. The technology is advancing so fast, it’s impossible to keep up. It’s so freaking realistic. It’s scary. Within a year it will be impossible to tell the difference between real and artificial. Maybe even sooner. You may very well create your own virtual Taylor Swift!

I mostly use Chrome and it’s been working fine for me. If you didn’t see it, I used a scene from the old Twilight Zone episode “Time enough at last” with Burgess Meredith. I’ll never forget when he broke his glasses. What a twist of fate! Everyone calls Rod Serling a genius. That’s a given. He was also a hardcore workaholic. I miss shows like that, The Outer Limits, and One Step Beyond. I loved the theme song of that one. It gave me goosebumps.

That is exactly what I was trying to convey! Thanks for saying that. There is one more part to come. It’s supposed to be the adjusting to the new “normal”. I try to avoid politics as much as possible. I have come to realize that I will never change anybody’s opinion , especially on the internet. Still, the situation weighs heavy on my mind. We woke up to a nice sunny day, so we dodged the bullet for now.

    Hey Paul,

I've uploaded my latest to YouTube but it isn't exactly setting the world on fire.

I've stopped posting here since there's a few anti-AI folks that made it clear how they felt about it and I have no interest in creating drama. I pop in to see what you and a few of my other favorite creators have posted lately. I used to practically live here on the forum. Not so much anymore.

I get more views on X these days but most people there just post 5 second clips.
Making a minute and a half to two minute music videos sometimes feels like spinning my wheels.

Still, I enjoy learning more about film making, from shot lists to color grading, and how to tell more compelling stories.

Take care. Crazy times we're living in.

  • Nice track Paul, enjoyed it more than part 1 but that’s just my taste.
Will get to part 3 eventually.. hopefully along with the rest of the human race 🤔
