I just got Quantum and can't figure out how to hook it up in apeMatrix. Rosetta particles work fine as the MIDI generator, but Quantum doesn't show up when I load it. Rosetta is AU and the only option for Quantum that shows up in apeMatrix is IAA. Any tips greatly appreciated!

Yeah, you’ll need to enable apeMatrix in Quantum/ devices / midi output. Or select Quantum in apeMatrix midi input page, in right menu bar.

    Thank you! Yes, this worked!

I can’t get this working. I have enabled the midi options in both programs, but I still can’t see Quantum in the list of apps in ape matrix.

Please can you take me through this step by step?

  • Does this state-save in AUM?

No. It’s IAA. I try to save in Quantum using the same save name as the project I’m working on in AUM. It does state save in AB3 I think (maybe that’s what you meant?).

It isn’t AU. So, no. You need to use it with AB3 for Quantum state-saving. If youse AB3 with AUM and Quantum. Your AB3 session preserves both AUM’s and Quantum’s state.

  • Oh yeah, I actually forgot it was IAA. I was checking since photon, even though AU, doesn’t state save! Thnx guys

It would be the dopest AU ever but I think it is too big a task for the developer unfortunately. Still one of my favourite sequencers on iOS and desktop.

  • I really love photon and polythemus, despite their quirks, so this is very tempting. Very creative dev.
