I asked for a Quick start guide too...> @0tolerance4silence said:
Or, and hear me out, let him focus on actually finishing it.
Anyone know any iOS apps that do this sort of thing?
Out of date vlc player maybe...
It’s a preview of a Drambo module planned for sometime after release.
Just wondering, does using polyphony make everything in the track, including effects, per voice? Can you use both a polyphonic synth and monophonic effects on a single track?
Loooolllllll I actually laughed out loud and now my kids are asking “what?” And they’ll have no idea obviously....
Stalker is definitely in my top 10
masterpiece. the soundtrack is pretty incredible.
QoTD material right here
@Dalle it generally works like that, modules can either be polyphonic or monophonic. If you place a monophonic module down, everything after should also be monophonic, or you get weird behavior (by design). So, put your chorus or delay rack at the end of your chain and you’re good; your poly voices play through the mono effect just fine.
Will there be a "Drambo Released" thread if and when?
just a few more years
I'm sure there'll be more than one...
Mr. White we can always trust, Max may make one as well, and there should be another one with "brilliant" in it.
As for when - probably once out.
I think you are right about this re: bringing some new users to iOS. It really feels like a piece of hardware.
What? No love for the “Gamechanger!” thread?
I'm super excited about Drambo and I wish for it to succeed to secure its longevity, but I highly doubt that it's the tools available that stops untapped masses to jump in.
The only thing that sets Drambo apart is the unprecedented prologue the rest will be the same as with every other app - it'll shine in right hands and confuse others, there will be bugs and disappointed people... and that's all fine
You're probably right
I just hope the bugs and disappointment won’t be the same vein as beatmaker 3, massively hyped before release but the UI is pretty universally agreed to be awful. plus it crashes every time I use it and it took them like 2 years to add basic midi clock as promised
If you knew what @giku_beepstreet has released over the years, you probably wouldn't write this.
I would though, It’s not a comment about giku, it’s a comment about people setting high expectations. Don’t twist my words and tag the dev to make it look like I’m slagging them off
Why ?
Plenty of people have bugs and issues with his previous software, that has no bearing on this thread either way, so why even mention it ?
He is a developer not your friend, he gets judged on the products he sells/tries to sell.
Threads like this too often try to oversell a product, or portray a developer in something of a friend like light, neither tend to be based in reality.
I’ve been holding off on purchasing an Digitakt (or an MPC One for different reasons) to see how well drambo scratches the itch. The immediacy of the knobs and how theY multimap so quickly to all the various modules within the Digitakt. That, I feel, is the biggest draw to hardware. Grabbing an endless knob that maps quickly from parameter to parameter is unequal’d on an iPad.
But the other aspects of visualization and modular nature of drambo are another draw altogether! Either way, the wait has saved me several hundred dollars (or at least delayed it). So I don’t mind the wait 😂
Can Drambo cover a huge range of synthesis engines..let;s say a phase distortion Cz type of engine...all the way to 4 independent osc's , met in Monopoly?
